American teen superstar Freddy Adu cannot wait until he is old enough to move to England.

[Mod's note: don't cut and paste articles.]

You know what? I've had it with this kid.

******** you, Freddy. How about you do something for your current team or even the U-20s before you go on this line of grabage.

I need a new avatar.

That looks like Hatchet journalism.

I think somebody was making good use of the cut and paste functions over at Sky

Nothing new here. Freddy has expressed his interest in playing in the EPL before. But unless he can score an EU passport, I suspect his first European stop will be the Dutch Eredivisie.

But I agree with the sentiment posted earlier. Freddy needs to step up and contribute to DC United before he thinks about making his next move. He has not shown me anything yet.

Relax buddy. Just a fluff piece. Do you think they're gonna write about Freddy's preparations for the metrostars?

Goose does have a valid point.

Right now Freddy needs to realize that unless he steps it up here, he's going to be staying for the extent of his MLS contract.

It's long been assumed that he'll be gone at 18 which is fine with me, but he needs to step up and make a case for himself over the next two seasons so that a Chelsea or Man U will be after him and not Sunderland or someone else.

From what I'm hearing, there's a good chance he'll be headed up I-95 first.

There's no real "detail", just enough comments from enough different folks to tell me that it's something "on the table."

Frankly, I'm pretty sure it will depend on who's coaching the SuperClub next season, though a willingness to take on Adu may be part of the job's qualifications.

To be honest, at some point Adu, due to playing time and starts, will have to be considered a senior team player, and will count max salary against the cap. Unless he's a full time starter, that will be a problem for whatever team he's on.

Interesting. I wonder what DC would be receiving in return.

You're absolutely right about Adu being a huge burden on the team he's on once his cap figure counts. Unless he significantly improves his form, he's not worth it for whatever team he's on, which is why I would definitely be open for trade possibilities if I was a part of the DC FO.

Some of you need to think like 16-year olds. Kids dream of this kinda stuff.

Leave him alone.

Wasting away under Piotr? Yeah, I'd want to go to England asap too.

Freddy is your best player. Let the kid play, you freaks.

No, he's not. Third best, at a maximum. He's not our best player at his position.

Go watch some sierra mist ads or something.

i have said this before and i am a nobody poster so it doesnt mattter, however, getting a permit will not be a problem for freddy. if a team is willing to pay 10 million bucks or more for fredddy, he will have no problem getting a work permit. remember, bobby almost won his appeal with tottenham and they were only offering a million bucks. howard won his appeal and he was not even thought to be a full time starter. he will get a permit based on his vast potential no doubt and without much problem

let him go to the superclub! good for them, they need a star attraction and dc already has a solid fan base and ownership
