OK, so I got my new home shirt yesterday, and it came with those redcurrant and white wristbands.
Wrist bands, more like c0ck-bands!
Whose ********ing wrists are these things supposed to fit? While I admit that I'm not the thinnest guy in the room, this is a bit ridiculous!
OK, rant over. I'm so distracted today. One of the girls from work, her ex-boyfriend (who is also her baby's daddy) got into a horrible motorcycle crash while engaging in high-speed chase with the police yesterday. Turns out he's been stealing bikes, and on top of some of the other things he's been accused of, will more than likely be spending the next 20-30 years in prison. The baby was just born last month. This little girl will never know her father. On the one hand, that's probably a good thing, as he's a degenirate, but on the other hand, kids should know both parents...

Don't know if you've talked about this in one of the other OT threads but did anyone catch RealSports this month?
They did a segment about racism in football. Henry was one of the main guys they talked to. He discussed racism he's faced on the pitch, the idiot Spanish team manager's comments, and his anti-racism campaign. They also interviewed another player, the head of UEFA, and the head of the national front. Not a bad segment although not exactly news for anybody here.

Yeah, and the thing is, this girl is a nice girl. It just goes to show that there's no accounting for who you fall in love with, it just happens.

Just got through a 2 hour meeting and review where our young engineers had to give presentations and we critiqued them. I think I made one of the guys cry! Really, it was a great learning experience for them as I had to learn about public speaking through trial by fire.
