It's actually not as big of a deal as it seems. You always get the same set of numbers no matter which double digit number you start out with. And the output set of numbers have the same symbol. For example...84, 85, 86 all have an output of 72.

You know, believe it or not, I was once the smartest guy I knew. Not anymore. I still don't get how this is working. Can somebody explain it? Using real small words? It's, like, seriously bothering me.

Edit: Never mind. I got it.

Leave it to the Chelsea supporter to not get it. Can someone explain for my unintelligent @ss?

Don't worry Eddie, I don't get it either, and for whatever it's good for, I'm still in school.

Just a numerical trick. Like how if you add up the digits in any multiple of nine, your answer will be nine. Look at the chart and see all the different places where that symbol is--those are the only possible answers regardless of which two-digit number you choose.

Everytime you refresh the page, the symbols change positions, but the pattern remains. Look at numbers 63, 72, 81, for example.

Any time you add the two digits in a two-digit number together, and then subtract the result from the initial two-digit number you will ALWAYS end up with a result that is a factor of nine.

So 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90 and 99.

If you look at the symbols on the right hand side, youll notice that all the symbols for factors of nine are the same, so it looks like its magic, when in fact is just mathematics :)

But how come it knows what icon to show? I mean, I could to 88 one time and 22 then next and it shows the right icon.

88
8+8 = 16
88 - 16 = 72

22
2+2 = 4
22 - 4 = 18

Both are factors of Nine. 18 = 2x9 and 72 = 8x9

The symbols on the right hand side for factors of nine are always the same. So if you look the symbols for 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90 and 99 are all the same symbol.

Thus no matter WHAT number you choose it can just display that symbol and it will ALWAYS be right. The game changes what the symbol is each time you "play again", but its still the same symbol for all the factors of nine...

Ok, I stupid but I get it now. It only shows the icons for the factors on 9. My bad, I'm dumb. Maybe Roman will buy me and the Scarecrow a brain.
