Yeah i thought you meant west ham's goalkeeper, but i don't think Bosnich ever was. He was at Villa, United, Chelsea. Although the form james is in, they might call him up, drugs charge and all. BTW there is a suggestion that Chelsea are using this as an excuse to offload his £40,000 a week wages.

The newly appointed head of the Iranian federation has suggested that Iran might be participating in some tournament in Great Britain, involving Iran, Australia and England. Somehow, the proposal seems to have orginated with the Australians.
Have the Australian fans here heard anything about any such tournament?

To be honest I haven't heard a thing about it.
I'll keep my eyes out for it, though, and report back here if I do hear anything :)

Im not gonna read all the post cause the first few were already enough to P**s me off.
Firstly Australia would rather be in the asian confederation from day 1 of the qualifiers and we have beens sying this from the early 80's. We dont wanna play do or die qualifiers for a place in the world cup. These do or die qualifiers happen every four years and are the only competitive games that we get to play with our overseas stars.
Secondly how is it that some teams can lose 5-6 games and still make to the world cup but australia doesnt lose a game and doesnt make it to the world cup (98). Only 2 undefeated team after the end98 World Cup (france and Australia....think about it) Australia get one chance to qualify unlike Irans THREE. Firstly Iran had a chance to make it to the world cup in the group phases, they FAILED. They then had a chance against Japan, they again FAILED. So came Irans chance against Australia and they passed ("""on AWAY GOALS""").
All you South Americans whinging about losing a place in the world cup shouldnt be blaming Australia of the oceania federation but FIFA for not standing up top the Asian Federation cause we are just standing up for our rights. I wonder how well the South American nations would go if they played 2 games every 4 years and those games are to make it to the world cup. Dont think you's would perform that well.
So forget yor biased views and listen to the facts, cause the facts are correct :-)
