I think they're talking about Stephen deRoux. That kid is a rocket. I saw him in the reserve match on FSC. The kid just blazed past everyone on the pitch.

deRoux is not a rookie, he played for the reserves last year. it definitely wasn't him that was mentioned. he is pretty fast though.

Paul Broome (cue laughter)
When he signed with RSL, he claimed he ran a 3.9 40. If I had a link, I'd post it.
Of course, that was probably 10 years ago and before all his injuries.

Looks like Marvell Wynne is pretty fast. Does he belong on this list?
Paul Broome used to be a speed burner. Don't know how fast he is now.

I'm 99% sure its Marvell Wynne.
Agreed, During the MLS draft one of the commentators mentioned he runs a 200m in 22 seconds and change. His first 50-60 has to be lightning.

Marvell Wynne was a sub 22 200 meter runner and a 48 second 400 runner. Division I caliber track athlete in high school... I'd bet he is probably the fastest player end line to end line in the league.

60 yards? How about the first 15 yards that kind of speed has more to do with our game then 60 yards.

Does anyone even know for sure the fastest on the team they follow? List them and we can whittle it down. Verification from players would help. I have no idea for Dallas - Oduro, Mina?

Wynne, no question. Jamil is quick but Wynne has amazing raw speed. No contest with anyone imo.

I'm guessing none of you have seen Justin Mapp run.
I don't think he's been caught yet in his MLS career, aside from a few tackles designed to bring down faster players.

NONE OF THE ABOVE.
Its the parking guy at Gillette stadium.
Ya.................... if you try and park in P8 or P9 (Patriots lots opened on NFL days) he will do an impression of Carl Lewis by running up that little hill at around 40 mph waving a red flag shouting and also barking into a walkie talkie that someone (ie ME) has had the audacity to park somewhere where his little red flag-flag didn't point us. Oh ya and he can yell at you in Spanish or English.
Its actually pretty impressive.
I have to agree
