Will Kasperczak accept the job?

It looks like Majewski.

It is up to Listkiewicz - and he has ruled out Engel and Kasperczak. And seeing as nobody else has been mentioned, it is almost certainly Majewski.

Heard many reports from many people new head coach will be Edward Klejndinst.

There's been talk that Kasperczak (who won't be allowed to coach both Wisla and Poland) might be asked to come in from time to time to act as an advisor to the national team coach, especially if the bulk of the players used are Wisla players (it has been suggested by many to build a team around a nucleaus(sp) of Wisla players).
In that case the federation might think to hire a coach who would be willing to have Kasperczak come in from time to time and 'take over'.
Or maybe we can do what Denmark (i think it was Denmark, or maybe Sweden?) have done, they have two coaches running the team.

looks like Pawel Janas will be the coach with Majewski as the assistant
but the offical decision will come later today

Not that it matters, but i am almost 100% sure this happened with Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine NT.

yeah, i think it was Valery Lub... (can't remember his name, he died some months ago) who coached both Ukraine and Dynamo Kyiv
and there are some cases where you have two head coaches with a certain national team...
anyway, we should know soon who gets the Poland job

yeah, Janas has got the job
he coached Legia to a championship and had a pretty good run in the Champions Leauge, but his last job at Amika Wronki did not go so well
Good luck Coach Janas!

Yeah, among other things, with Legia he achieved a place in the quarter finals of the CL in 1996. Good luck to him, his coaching credentials certainly put those of Boniek into the shade.
Also, that was Sweden who had two coaches. Soderberg and Lagerback coached them at the WC.

So do you guys think that Janas is a better choice than choosing Kasperczak or bringing back Engel?
I wish him luck, but this time I'm not going to act optimistic at all.

I don't think that the federation ever gave serious thought to bringing back Engel, it would have made them look rather silly. He still might get another chance, just not this soon.
Kasperchak might have been a better choice, but his contract with Wisla (and the good run he's having with that team) stood in the way.
Hopefully Janas will do the job and if not, they can still give Kasperchak a try in time for EC 2006 in Germany.

I would still like to see Engel in some support role.

officially Edward Klejndinst will be the assistant coach to Janas
Tomaszewski is saying that Janas is a bad choice, and compares him to Boniek (Tomaszewski was a critic of Boniek's appointment as head coach), he thinks that only Engel or Kasperczak are the only peopl capable of doing the job right

From uefa.com
"The most important task for me is to create a real team from the players I will call up," Janas said. "The players must be fully committed to the national team, and leave their health and heart on the pitch." He added that he would try and speak to every possible candidate for the national team, adding: "I will visit the clubs and talk to the players and coaches."
...leave their health and heart AND MONEY!
He is gone have a hard time convincing some of the older players (playing outside of Poland) to give him 100%.
PS Do you think Haito is back in the picture :-)
