Well let's rally the troops and prepare for the next game. A MUST MUST MUST win game going into the Madrid derby against Atletico. I hope that performance hasn't took a lot out of us. Glad to see Ronaldo is coming back. I think a debate on selection choice may be intresting for this game. Robinho and Baptista both have not been playing to well as of late, maybe a good rest will be appropriate. Plus let's not forget the possible return of Zidane. He said he wants to play this game to help his fitness for his international duties.

Mallorca have lost perhaps their best player, Luis Garcia to Espanyol. They have had a very poor start so far and a 1-5 drubbing at the weekend will hardly have helped confidence. Arrango is now their most threatening playe but nothing too be ovoerally frightned of. We should win this game comfortablly but who knows.

Cuper will probably get a double-decker bus defence going, with Arango in the left (I think he is better as a creative AM) and maybe Yordi as a lone striker, so we'll have to watch their set pieces yet again.

I don't think we'll see Zidane starting outright after a lengthy injury, nor Woodgate substituting Ramos.

Since the team is improving, I expect just the team that played at Vitoria.

Oh man am I looking forward to this match.

With Zidane and Ronaldo having been missing in the CL game against the greeks, I expect that we will have some edgy moments as our team re-adjusts itself once more.. and I think we'll also have some supremely entertaining moments of dominant, sublime attacking football.

We should win this, but don't be surprised if it is close at times.

I'll echo a couple of comments some of you have made.

We need to win this one because our first game back from the WC06 qualifiers is at Atlético de Madrid and we normally do not play well after national team duties. This needs to be a statement game (i.e. a big win with a dominating performance).

Second point is the Ronaldo - Cuper comment. I think Ronaldo will be very motivated for this one. Last time we played Mallorca he was taken off in the 80th minute and he was pissed.

I would like Woodgate to get a shot in this one. I am anxious to see the Woodgate - Ramos partnership out there. Ramos is quietly showing why we went after him... he is going to be a star for us back there.

That match was the start of Ronaldo's baron run. He didn't score for like 8 matches from then in. I hope they don't play to defensively but it would be great to watch us really open them up. Put poor teams like this to the sword, especially at the Bernabeu. I don't know how many times i have said it but our lack of intention to kill games of or get a two goal cushion is frightening. This won't work in the 2 following games versus Atletico and Valencia so we need to emply this tactic.

I would like to see Beckham, Raul, Garcia, Ramos and Robinho get a rest. This team should be more than capable of beating 19th place Mallorca. Give Zidane a run out because it would be annoyin to see him play for France before us.

Yep, Beckham, Raul, Roberto and Salgado have played all the games, we should start resting them before the marathon next month.

Only fhe only thought of playing with Bravo makes me shiver... :D
