well the Chelski man just cashed out the "ski" part and appears that he sold the majority of the company back to Russia for about a 13 Billion dollar profit.
I'm sure Nice will fly in from Russia to give us the specifics later in the day.
So how long will 13 Billion dollars fund Chelsea...........

All well and good, but it still remains to be seen how long he's prepared to throw money down the bottomless pit in West London before he gets sick of it.

he may need that $13 billion someday for legal fees if he's ever indicted in the old CCCP...

I think he is going to create 19 new teams and form the RPL (Roman Premier League). The winner gets a case of vodka.

i was trying to think of roman names for other towns and they are escaping me. Good thing I remembered Londinium. All those Latin classes really paid off.

Well I do know that the first Roman city in Britain was Colchester which was called Camulodunum. That "What The Romans Did For Us" programme on the BBC is good TV!

This has been in the works for awhile. There's talk that Roman traded most of the company in exchange for not being the governor of Chukhotka, a job he doesn't really want. In fact he asked not to be on the ballot next time, but seeing as how the Kremlin appoints the governors, he wasn't given much choice. Gazprom's been looking at Sibneft for over a year...or more appropriately, the Kremlin has been looking for a way to make Gazprom one of the world's largest state-owned natural resource companies, like those of Saudi Arabia, and harkening back to the big old nationalized industries of the USSR.
Now it won't be the mob funding Chelsea's transfers, it'll be Putin!
