It says that he is out of contract with Bayren Munich next summer and that he has decided to move on and not resign with them. It says teams like Milan, Juve and Barca are all interested. Now I ask the important question here. Do you think it is at all possble that he would consider going to Lyon ? I think theirs a chance he would. Why wouldnt he ? He's French after all. Price and wages wouldnt be a problem because its a Bosman free transfer. I'm not certain Lyon would be interested in them but why wouldnt they ?

I heard about that. I think they've got the position pretty well covered with Revelliere. I dont think Lyon will be all that interested.

I think there's no need.. Like lefutur said, we've got Reveillere.

He is better than Reveillere though. He's also ahead of him at the position in the national team picture. You must have a problem convincing him to go back to the French league because he already played there and he's probably wants to experience a better league and new frontier.

it's an interesting question.
on the field he's not really needed, as RVR is very good. there would be an unavoidable conflict; obviously he would never accept to play behind anto, but the opposite would be true as well, and both would have good arguments.
the experience and feisty attitude he would bring to the clubhouse would probably be offset by this conflict.
but would he come to france? i don't think so, he's never really hidden a low opinion of L1. and would he come to OL? remember where he was born and started his career!

Well, he was interviewed this morning on RMC,
was asked and couldn't have been more clear about
this: he said "I respect the club, OL, I respect its
president, Jean-Michel Aulas, but as a "Stéphanois",
I will never play for Lyon"
If you read and aren't aware of what this is about,
there's a big rivalry between Lyon & Saint Etienne.
Sagnol is from Saint-Etienne :)
You've got to respect his loyalty ;)
