No, really, it's not a joke. (http://www.football365.com/news/story_164030.shtml) Rumors that Le Boss had just finished reading some of the threads around here and that he's hoping Sir Red Nose will open a bs account in order to reciprocate the favor remain unfounded.

It doesn't surprise me that Wenger would say this. Despite all the gamesmanship between the two....it would surprise me more if Wenger didn't respect SAF's accomplishments at United.

In the end, it is always better to be a gentleman. I truly believe that AW is such. Well, and I hate to say this, but I bet deep down inside SAF respects Wenger.

I think that all winning managers respect each others accomplishments no matter if they like each other personally or not...

I agree. As much as they go back in forth, I imagine somewhere down the line they will admit that they have respect for each other and admire each others accomplishments.

Yeah, I think that the sniping is more gamesmanship. Honestly, when one or both of them are done, I can actually see them sitting on a porch in rocking chairs, drinking cognac and laughing about all the things that have happened in the past.

Well, that might be a bit of a stretch, but you get my point. ;)

Even I respect Fergy, doesn't mean I don't hate his guts. At the end of the day "Game recognise game ", Wenger and Fergy know that....
