Did you just put Howard up there to reveal who the ignorant posters are? Well, you've got two hits.

I voted Cech. He's got a great defense in front of him, as well.

I voted for Howard because Jimmy Howard is the keeper on my co-ed rec team.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh. You meant Timmy Howard.

You're right, Americans are better than everyone at everything.

You think a euro snob would make this list with Tim Howard on it? I suspect it's the other way around. Only an American would put our Timmy as an option. He did put the right answer up there, though.

Cech

how is howard on that list? If you're gonna put an American keeper at least put Kasey Keller. Also Victor Valdes? Where is Van der Sar...

Howard doesn't even get any playing time....come on...get serious if you're going to start a poll.

At this moment:

1. Iker Casillas
2. Petr Cech
3. Gregory Coupet
4. Shay Given
5. Oliver Kahn
6. Gianluigi Buffon
7. Espen Johnsen

and the rest I'm not sure about... I always liked Mickael Landreau but didn't see any of his games lately.

Now that Howard is in the list is just to proof Americans are still behind in soccer ;) and that Lehmann is in the list is the proof that the topic starter has sense of humour.

Kasey Keller was superb indeed though, I like him a lot. Does he still play? In his Leicester days he was one of my favourite goalkeepers.

Lets just make the other selection Keller's I mean seriously why is this guy not on the list and how about Friedel?

Friedel is excellent, though I'd still prefer Kasey Keller.

In the recent past, I used to be a Mark Bosnich fan. He got me into Aston Villa. I'm still convinced if he'd had stayed at Villa Park and did not pick up drugs, he could have made much more years on top level.

Best ever? Peter Schmeichel.

Kasey Keller is indeed still going strong for his club and country. He's been playing with Borussia Monchengladbach (I always mispell that, maybe it's OK this time) in Germany, and has been getting good review.

He's been playing better than ever for the US National Team. In my opinion he's been the top player on a team that won the Concacaf Gold Cup (North American version of Copa America), and qualified handily for the World cup. Barring injury, he'll be the US #1 in Germany. #2 is up in the air right now, but it looks like Reading's Marcus Hahnemann is up to the task. I simply haven't seen enough of Howard lately to know how he's doing.

Wow, Buffon is in the world top 10 and he can't even raise his arm over his head!

Hope he comes back 100%, that is a tough injury for a GK to shake off.

When healthy he is my choice.

In his absence I will take Casillas.

Did you see him flat on his arse after being rounded by a 19 year old???? Well it was the next Zindane so I guess he can be forgiven.

Howard can suck my balls he's crap.

Given all the way.
