If this was a World Cup game that goal would never have happened. Simple as that.
Instead, Robinho would have been tackled and Brazil awarded a penalty...

Instead, Robinho would have been taken out and Brazil had their protests waved away...
Done...

But that goal did happen and Brazil did beat Italy 2-0.
This current Italian squad is a shell of its 2006 counterpart.

Don't be a sore loser, you know that game was much more than just a friendly. Brazil and Italy were tied in head to head confrontations, with the same number of goals scored and allowed, and it had been a real long time since the two countries played each other. Even Lippi came out saying it was the derby of the world. It was a great goal, with great footwork, from a very good player, trying to discredit it is only making you look like a fool.

Do you really think their record factored into this friendly at all?

How do you know this poll is BS?
Iker has been outperforming Buffon for well over a year and he's not winning.
Cech has been a complete liability since his head injury and he's higher than Howard who has been playing at a much higher level.
Also Shay Given should have been given a spot rather than the likes of Kahn.

I'm just saying if this was a World Cup game he wouldn't have been able to just pick up the ball and walk through the defense like that. Italy have a history of not taking friendlies too seriously. It is the derby of the world though. And that's pretty cool. Obviously without any doubt the best two international teams in history. If it had been in Italy or in Brasil, I think Azzurri would have taken it seriously.

Iker has been outperforming Buffon for well over a year and he's not winning.Buffon has basically been injured the whole year so that's one heck of a feather in Ikers hat. When Buffon is actually playing, there is none better. Only Real Madrid fans think otherwise.

The Euros are more hotly contested and better than the World Cup I think. That way you don't get crap teams like Togo, Tunisia, China and all the rest in it.

Doesn't change the fact that the World Cup is in fact the World Cup. And is by far the most important trophy anyone can ever win.

That's true, it's unparalleled in world sport. To be honest we should just make the Euros a 20 team event, and bring in Brazil and Argentina.
