Was the last football game you watched a match from WC 2002?
I think world cup 2006. :D
Dida seemed really very impressive to me & other one is Peter Cech .

He had that nice foot-save against Ghana :)

Well now-a-days he is not a name that should jump out as the best goalkeeper in the world.

howard has no right to be in the list.

Poll was made in 2005 by some newbie. Canizares, Lehmann, and Howard all should not even be discussed in this thread if it was actually up-to-date.

For that matter neither does Dida or Valdes.

Sorry, but JC is not better than Buffon. I'm not even 100% sure I would put him in the top 5.

As I said previously he would be third and that is if we only consider Serie A. Buffon and Frey are above him.

as a season ticket holder at Celtic Park i get to see Artur Boruc every 2nd week. he is a very, very good keeper but he isn't in the upper echelons of the best keepers in the world today. although he may get there in another couple of years time.

his big problem is his concentration. he's prone to lapses in concentration in 'easier' matches. it's something he needs to eradicate from his game before he can be one of the worlds best at his position.

When we were discussing Boruc we were debating about how well he played at Euro 2008. He is not being discussed as one of the best keepers in the world. Just so that everyone is on the same page. :)

fair enough but my point stands.

in the EURO's, playing for a smaller nation, concentration worries were never going to be an issue for Artur. however, in the SPL, it does rear it's ugly head on occasion.

I'd love to see buffon, casillas of cech playing at a premier league low quality team like fulham, see if you say if they are still so good. van der sar has proven that, so for me he is the best overall!!! bye bye (K)

Casillas would still be good because Madrid's defense is already sh!tty :D

You saying it doesn't make it the truth. Julio Cesar has had more than twice the number of saves per goal taken of Buffon and Frey this past season. I do think Buffon is the better keeper in the end, but there's no way someone that watches the Seria A regularly can say Julio Cesar is not a top 5 goalkeeper in the world, or that he has been worse than Frey, or even Buffon.
