Soundly behind Casillas, Buffon and Van der Sar

Those are big names to try and beat out and for a keeper from Poland of all places he played damn well for the guys he had infront of him.

Obviously he wasn't the best but you need to put things into perspective and give him some credit.

Peru FC said Boruc was better than Casillas and Buffon...I thought that was ridiculous. My reply to his post is what started this whole 'argument'.

I think not Casillas neither Buffon, both was good but not to be the best.

For me were better Boruc and van der Sar.

I've been visiting this thread a few times a week and it's more and more comical to me every time I read it. The same dudes arguing back and forth as if they didn't realize by now they are not going to convince the other side "their" goalie is the best. Second, it also amazes me that so little is made of the fact that how efficient the goalie is at professional level is as much a function of his natural talent as it is of the team he plays on. For someone called the best in the world, I haven't seen any jaw dropping saves from Casillas in a long time. His apparent goal keeping genius certainly does not show at PKs for RM. Putting it in a context, would Casillas have put Poland through the group stage had he been the goalie for Poland? Obviously not. But there's no doubt that Boruc was incredible at Euro 2008 and props to the poster that justly mentioned it. I have no doubt Spain would have won the tournament with Boruc in the goal. I said it before and I'll say it again: you cannot judge a keeper without considering the team he plays on. And because you cannot do a lab test on how they would all do given the same team, you should just drop this silly discussionon and move on.

My choice is Dida. The most quick and reliable Goal keeper. Though i haven't watched too much of football but Dida seemed to be very Impressive.

No! That's true. I am from a country where cricket is more popular than Football.

Alright. Well you're wrong. Dida isn't even a top 50 goalie.

I see them week-in and week-out :)

As far as PK's go, no keeper consistently saves them.

Was the last football game you watched a match from WC 2002?

Ricardo was pretty damn good at them for Portugal when he was the starting keeper. He bailed them out a few times.

Sorry, but JC is not better than Buffon. I'm not even 100% sure I would put him in the top 5.

Which 50 keepers are better? :pTop two keepers for the top 25 teams should do. Actally he's probably not even top 100 now that I think about it. I can't see which Serie A team he would get playing time on. I'm sure it's the same with La Liga. England he might get to play, but they've never had a worse crop of domestic goalies then today so they'll take anyone as long as he's not English.
