A keeper is key to a defence. His calls and judgments in certain areas of the game can be crucial. As Man U and Arsenal found out if you don't have a good keeper your screwed

Though Tim Howard has put americans on the map he still is 2nd best goalkeeper at Man U , and is very inconsistent . To put him up there with the best is just plain wrong. Keller to me holds down a regular spot for his team and at least plays on a regular basis but is still not in the top ten . Petr Cech to me is the most solid and consistent keeper out there playing at the moment and deserves to be top spot. The thing with keepers is there as good as there last defender and can have an up and down season depending on there team, so with that said Cech playing for Chelsea really helps his case.
