Buffon's reign has ended...it's Casillas's turn at the top now.Based on? Do you watch Juventus/Italy games? When was the last time you can remember he played a bad game?

Well, for Buffon vs. Casillas we can stick to Real Madrid - Juventus in october :D

Well even having sold basically our whole first team just a couple years ago, this will be closer then Real Madrid expect.

I do hope so, but I'm not really confident in Ranieri.

Lol wut?

Ranieri has already made a lot of mistakes in taking the formation. The last one has been against Fiorentina, when he made the subs too late, seeing Del Piero was very tired. But the list is very long till now, and I seriously hope that it doesn't get longer.

Del Piero had nothing to do with the goal Gila scored.

It has a lot to do, because if we were more reactive on counter attack, seeing Fiorentina was pressing us, we would have relief a little bit the defense, and Gila would have never been in area at the 89th minute. Ranieri should had put inside Giovinco, as he is the one who always instill fear in enemy's defense.

Anyway, we're OT here, should we continue in Juve forum?

COMPLETELY disagree with the part in bold.

Surely in the 6 months you have been following world football you have learned more than that? Seriously, saying that Buffon and Casillas are close in ability is one thing, but Casillas has to be good for a long time to be in Buffon's class. Posting with nothing but bias toward you favorite is childish. And this comes from someone who thinks that Casillas is a fantastic goalkeeper, and has the potential to be a great (you have to play more than a couple of years at a high level to be a great.) I have watched Buffon from the beginning of his career, and many football experts agree that he will go down with the all time greats of his position. Many of your posts are to be laughed at, and then dismissed.

Definitely not Cech. He has went downhill since his injury and makes far too many shocking errors.

I'm a Barcelona fan so I'm one of the least likeliest people to have any blatant bias towards Casillas (the only Real Madrid player I actually like).

Casillas is better than Buffon right now, but Buffon is greater than Casillas historically. Buffon has the experience, while Casillas has the better athleticism.

Where the hell did you get the 6 months from?

What about David James.....he's pretty darn good, better than he used to be. Did anyone see Casillas for Real this weekend ? He was responsible for the first goal all by himself and should have come out on the 2nd goal and he could have stopped it. I don't know but everytime I watch him he just seems too short to be a top goalie.

Once again Buffon has proved his greatness against Cyprus... without him Italy would have lose big.

As a Tottenham fan I'm pretty much a neutral & I think Buffon is the better 'keeper.

There will come a time when Buffon begins to decline through age & Casillas surpasses him I suspect.

I look forward to watching them head to head in the CL games.
