Things look well. Anyone watch this match that can give a little more report that my stupid matchtracker can...
Well not much to say... Lyon really controled the game, but once they scored that goal, they never seemed to be in a hurry to score the 2nd, which left hope to Rosenborg but they never really managed to put the pressiour on l'OL's defense. Coupet was once again save by his post in the 1st half (free kick).

very nice win by lyon... allez l'ol
i tried watching it on live-foot.fr but it was horrible... it was in spanish which was nice because i could undertsand, but it would show an image every 10 sec and the voices would cut down every 2 sec... so it was like watching pictures... ended up on rmcinfo.fr... anybody else tried to watch it live on stream? hope its better next time...

the possession ratio went as high as 70% at one point, but most of the last 30 minutes OL was gripped by that deadly phantom, fear. instead of keeping the ball, they just booted it downfield and let rfk come right back at them. it didn't help that rosenborg actually started connecting passes. happily, OL got their bottle back in the last few minutes, that and 3 points get all the sour taste out of your mouth!
coupet - perhaps saved by the post on a FK , then again, he was only inches short, who knows? a couple of fine grabs on corners and one muffed one. only one real stop to make and skjelbred was easy on him.
cris - did what little was needed on defense, and went forward more than i've ever seen. and he scored. que veut le peuple?
cacapa - roughly as for cris except he didn't score.
berthod - the left side didn't exactly light up lerkendal; a couple of blown passes and some incomprehension with malouda and juninho.
RVR - enormous volume, and surefooted always.
tiago - always there when his teammates needed an outlet. he's getting to be a real asset.
juni - some good percussion in the center, and was inches from two scores, one on a juninhoŽ FK (though his others were disappointing, i guess we've been spoiled). note: roseborg actually did once what many have considered: no wall!
diarra - i stopped counting at 22 interceptions. and once he had the ball he didn't give it up. houllier is big on nutrition, i think he's been feeding djila lion meat.
malouda - see under berthod; the left side was disappointing.
govou - covered ecven more ground than usual, but always a step short or a split-second late on the finish. after a few matches en crescendo, he took a step back.
carew - a valuable anchor point, but indifferent finishing. it looks more and more like he and fred should play together, they would complement each other well.
