Did our reserves fly out to Chicago for a game today? The schedule shows them playing at 11AM.
Anyway, we are currently tied for first with them and the Rev's. We could actually play our first team if we wanted today just to keep them fresh, but I'm sure we won't. We still have two more to go after this with the Metros (who are in the hunt) on the 9th and the Crew on the 16th.
Would love to see us win the first reserve championship. C'mon DC.

Well, maybe there was a change, since MLSNET does show a match scheduled to have taken place yesterday:

http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/mls/reserve/

FYI, New England has just edged ahead of Chicago and D.C. (just by one point though) for the Reserve Division lead by virtue of a 1-1 draw with the Metrostars Reserves yesterday on 9/25.

No game. If you look at the rest of the season, New England (with a game in hand after yesterday's game if we did not play) has one match left while we and Chicago still have two. Ours are against the stinky mutts and the subs subs. So we are one game back from NE with a game in hand and tied with Chicago. Hopefully we win our next two and Chicago drops some points.

The DC @ CHI reserve game was moved to August (DC lost 4-1 - it could be the match that costs them the reserve title).

The reserve title race is a tight one. Total points wins the single table format with a tie-breaker possibly needed to decide the winner (have to assume that goal differential breaks any ties since no one team plays the exact same schedule as another team). Here is the skinny on the reserve title race (do not have scores from RSL-CLM and CHIV-COL games played yesterday):

1. NE - 19 points, +4 goal diff. - 1 game remaining (@KC)
2. CHI - 18 points, +6 goal diff. - 2 games remaining (@KC, CLM)
3. DC - 18 points, +3 goal diff. - 2 games remaining (MET, CLM)
4. SJ - 17 points, +4 goal diff. - 1 game remaining (@LA)
5. MET - 16 points, +4 goal diff. - 2 games remaining (@DC, @CHIV)
6. LA - 14 points, -6 goal diff. - 2 games remaining (DAL, SJ)
7. DAL - 14 points, -2 goal diff. - 3 games remaining (@LA, COL, KC)
8. KC - 12 points, 0 goal diff. - 3 games remaining (NE, CHI, @DAL)
9. COL - 11 points, +2 goal diff. - 3 games remaining (@CHIV, RSL, @DAL)
10. RSL - 11 points, -4 goal diff. - 2 games remaining (CLM, @COL)
11. CLM - 10 points, -1 goal diff. - 4 games remaining (@RSL, CHIV, @CHI, @DC)
12. CHIV - 3 points, -9 goal diff. - 3 games remaining (COL, @CLM, MET)

All teams (other than RSL and CHIV) still have a chance to win the title. CHI controls its destiny - DC probably needs help (unless they win the next two games by a bunch of goals) - help will most likely need to come from KC (who could take points from both CHI and NE).

KC Reserves beat CHI Reserves today so DC Reserves now control their own destiny in terms of the Reserve Division title. If DC wins both of its remaining reserve games, DC wins the title. DC can still win the title with lesser results (win/tie, win/loss, tie/tie, tie/loss) but may need some help from other teams.
