Hold those horses. Or maybe more appropriately, get those horses ready?!?! :D

Lamar Hunt says he doesn't know what Don Garber is talking about, when he cofirms that KC has been saved for 1 more year.

Ha ha ha ha ha...

It's fun to watch MLS, specifically AEG and HSG, torture themselves over the Quakes and the Wizards.

This has got to be a first: the commissioner (Don Garber) and his spokesman (Simon Borg) offering two conflicting answers to the same question.

I personally wrote off both San Jose and Kansas City as MLS markets about 2 years ago.

Meanwhile, the moving trucks are on standby...

If the attendance is the status quo in KC next year, I can't see even the most ardent KC fans supporting the decision to keep them there.

I hope you enjoy driving to Baltimore to watch "DC" United play at Byrd Stadium after the Nationals kick United out.

And yet, you ran away ahead when I put a friendly wager on the table.

I'm sure I will. It'll beat sitting in an empty mausoleam.

Hey that's alright, at least we'll still have a team. :D

For the geographically challenged Byrd Stadium is located in College Park, not Baltimore.

And FC Dallas plays in Frisco not Dallas, and the Los Angeles Galaxy play in Carson, not LA, etc...

Distance between College Park, MD and Washington, DC : 9.3 miles

Distance between College Park, MD and Baltimore, MD : 32 miles

For comparison:

Distance between Carson, CA and Los Angeles, CA : 17.9 miles

Distance between Frisco, TX and Dallas, TX : 26.5 miles

Yet San Jose and Kansas City have stayed put as MLS markets and are still there.

And still no Los Angeles based MFL team.

Garber is starting to sound more and more like Leiweke-- spouting off about something without really thinking about the consequences, then having to back track or explain away what he said.

Lamar Hunt will make an annoucement at Arrowhead stadium, tomorrow at 12 PM Central. I hope he is selling Wizards to a local owner, and they get their own stadium in the KC area.

Funny how one "Goodsport" has gone into hiding once the Merc confirmed what we have known all along:

The Quakes are toast in San Jose.

The last-minute land proposal, all 3.7 acres of land, was a total joke. The land isn't enough to fit half a stadium.

Why, do you have a man-crush on Goodsport or something? I mean, for crying out loud, you opened a new thread dedicated to him on the Earthquakes board.

What else? USA has been drawn in a group of death and will come home with 3 losses, while Mexico will advance to the final? ManUtd have been bought by an American and failed to advance to the 2nd round in Champions League? And Earthquakes have been relocated to Houston, which will lead to demise of MLS in 5 more years? In other words, all is great in your world, huh?

Considering that he posts more than you do, Oliver, I hardly call that "going into hiding".

Which MLS team do you support?

None? Why do you keep posting in MLS forums?
