Looks like we drew Grimsby away for our debut in the tournament. Let's not be Spurs, eh? :D

Spurs had their starting lineup out there and managed to embarrass themselves fully. NUFC will play their starters for Big Al's Quest '05/'06 and kick Grimsby's Division Two ass all over the pitch.

Am I the only one who really isn't concerned with the carling cup at all?

We should be concerned, dammit. It's the first trophy, and we want FF out ASAP! :D

I'll be at his office 9am sharp the day after we win something to help him pack.

Sounds to me like we're putting all our eggs in one basket.
Silverware + FF leaving = Christmas + winning the lottery + a new car + your first child + watching the Stadium of Light burn to the ground + beer.
No silverware + FF staying = well, that's what it is right now.

not ALL our eggs. surely they wont sacrifice their prem and FA cup campaigns for this eh?
Are the bookies in england taking bets on FF's agreement? What's the spread on him welching on the deal? That's what I'd put money on.

He'd probably stay on through the entire season, even if we took the Carling Cup, just in case we managed to qualify for Champions League, so he can take credit for that bit too.

So who do we see in our starting 11? Chopra might get a start here.

Dyers back but Shearer,Carr, and Bowyer out.

He'll play Ramage at rightback and Babayaro at left back with either Taylor and Boumsong or Bramble. I hope it's the mighty Bramble.
Midfield, probably rest Parker since he picked up a knock against Wigan. So it will be
Solano--Emre--Dyer--N'Zogbia
Shearer/Chopra and Shola upfront.
Parker has had his yellowcard from the sun'lun game removed and it was transfered to Carr who gets a suspension but he was already out because of injury. Nice :D
