Yes.

Brian, you're not that young.Remember when radios had valves and not transistors (reminds me of the joke about the 16 valve Skoda,4 in the engine and 12 in the radio) I digress.
Sunday lunch time,2 way family favourites,BFPO was the postal address for troops in Germany and the presenter there always at the start of the programme would ask what's the weather like in London Judith.
Now who was the presenter in Germany,I can't remember, maybe someone on here can.
God knows what our American fans think of all this, just say it must have been the equivalent of Good Morning Vietnam.Or American Forces Network, great music from Midnight til 6 am.Bet someone like Norway remembers that,or some other kazoo player.

Now the penny's dropped Moby, it was the programme for British Forces Posted Overseas, I believe the Presenter in London was Jean Metcalf and the presenter in Germany was, or became her Husband.
Ps, I never missed that programme, thanks for the memory mate.

Jean Metcalf was the original, I thought the Huggets were called the Glums, with Jimmy Edwards as the father-in-law, and Díck Bentley as Ron, the dopey son-in-law, could be wrong though.

The Glums, was their name, good old Professor Jimmy Edwards. The accent of the son in law was an absolute jem.Don't know where I got the Huggets from, must have been an old girfriend.

Yes a sort of 1960s version,I couldn't quite make out what he looked like on the radio,I only had a Black and White receiver.
