Yep Metro SCRUB fans are happy you all lost!!!
Its so funny when REAL FRACASADOS have to jump on the D*** of some one else seeing how their own GARBAGE ABORTION of the last 10 years cant get a damn thing right on or off the field BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM AN ABORTION THAT BELONGS TO NEW JERSEY!!!
These jokers could not even come up with their own kits they just stole milans look and left it at that they cant come up with a decent logo or crest and their name comes right out of a BAD comic book! NO CHAMPIONSHIPS NO FANS regardless of that 17 K that came out because all year long for the past 3 years they get KC type crowds...NO PRESTIGUE!!!! and a real minor league team with bad gimmicks and a complete embrarasment!! the only team not even identified with NJ they refuse to put NJ on their name and want to pass themselfs off as a NY team when they only want money from this side of the river.... A team that said Chivas were cowards for not showing up to play in la copa merconorte only to get whiped of the field and in the stands By Chivas and their supporters in a friendly.....

A clasic rival is a team that can almost match up with you in prestigue and cups

example NACIONAL-pen~arol BOCA JUNIORS-river plate independiente-racing
rangers-celtic milan-inter Jesus vs Satan Good vs Evil Batman vs the Joker but DC and the funny sounding comic book name metrostars????

HOW CAN THIS TEAM that is sadder than a USL 3rd division team possibly be your rivals????/

Dont you understand that DC by far is to big in MLS to have a rival let alone a clasic one.....THIS THIS ABORTION THAT SHOULD BE FOLDED is considered your eternal rival???????Thats a joke and you guys are clowns for even putting that notion in your heads.. DC was ridiculous. I mean blow a 3 goal lead..against a chilian team? What a pathetic display of mental toughness.

At least they didn't get thrashed like in CCC..at least maybe next year they will take us back and Metro will show them how its done. We may not win domesticly but get international baby and well clean house.

if U.C. was in MLS they'll be favored to win the cup, so its not fair to call them out on looseing. Plus that 2nd DC goal was pure luck. im surprised DC actually pushed them that far when you take into consideration both legs.

actually the problem with mls was evident in last night's in-match thread. people have this stupid "its good for mls" or let's "prove ourselves to world" attitude and you had even metro fans "cheering" for dc. the league isn't going to succeed because it wins some cup that most americans don't even know about--even the champions league is unknown to most americans. what is going to make the league work is real rivalries, that's what attracts fans or makes the interested into fans. until we have a fan culture where people want other teams to lose to anyone else, it just ain't going to happen.

that whole thing with galaxy and metro fans "rooting' for united made me sick, no wonder we lost. i hate metro, i want to lose no matter what, whomever they are playing.

but agree with the orginial poster's sentiment, we are the only one doing real "rivalry" work, all metro does is bitch, whinge and lose.

that's because you are relatively new to following the team. though metro's teams have rarely held up their end of the rivalry, the fans at least used to. they'd bring good groups down and there was a definite rivalry--however the continued crap teams and the inexplicable hostility from the metro FO has seemingly really screwed up the esc's ability to grow. they are simply driving fans away en mass.

I remember that I was at a Friday night game vs. the MetroStars back in '96 (the taxicab days :D ). It poured right before the game. There were ALOT of Metros fans behind the goal in the spot where LaNorte is now and one of the Metroturds invaded the pitch. DC lost...can't remember the score. But I just remember that there was a lot of hate in the stands towards NJ that night.

You're right...the majority of our hate should be directed toward their FO than anything else.
