I saw that this morning. Pretty incredible, though a bit odd that they ripped on tentacle off! I love the comment, "Oh, it was one of the two longer feeding tentacles, but it will be fine without it!" :eek:
i don't think they ripped it off, it just come detached when it took the bait.
either way the thing is huge!

"It's a damn shame when people be throwing out a perfectly good white boy like that."
Happy Birthday GG!
Damn, I'm just coming out from a horrible 3 day PC ordeal. I just had to do a PC restore yesterday afternoon - spent most of yesterday and a good portion of monday night backing things up.
To weigh in on the Coldplay discussion - I LOVE their second album. The first album was what caught my attention obviously, and the new one's passable, but there's something about "The Scientist" and "Clocks" that really captures my imagination.

ditto....for me it was Chris's performance of "the Scientist" at the Grammy's that caught my eye...incredible how good the first 2 albums are. 3rd....*yawn*
except for 'Fix You' which is an instant classic.

I heard two songs by The Doves last night and if I didn't know better, I could have sworn they were Coldplay. All in all both are pretty good.

Same genre: What's up with the giddiness of the guys in Keane? They move/rock/bounce like they're doing a heavy metal tune or something.
Speaking of squid, ironically I was just watching some stand up on Comedy Central the other night where some guy was lampooning all the past specials about scientists searching for these things. Imitating the classic Cousteau-like accent:
"We are no descending to untold depths in search of the elusive giant squid. Here is a picture of what it would look like if we could see it, but there are none here at the moment.
WAIT! What is that! That is just the camrea's reflection. Not a squid.
Still no giant squid.
We'll be right back after these messages."

doves = different than coldplay.
similiarities = they are from the same continent, both play a form of brit pop.

Yeah, Ryan's proved once again that he's the ********ing man by getting us free passes. Now we're just hoping that Nevada Smith's will be showing Arsenal v Birmingham live so we can catch the match before the show starts.
