" 'Allo Gooners. How's things?"

Out with a good number of friends last night and played some 80's triva. Our group scored the overtime winner when my co-worker got the title correct for a Billy Ocean song. The irony? He was the youngest one in the group, born in 1981! We were stunned yet pleased the young grasshopper knew his elevator music.

tough loss on sat, GG. I was utterly shocked (albeit pleasantly)...There was no way VT was going to lose that game, and as of right now I'm buying everything Beamer is selling. Congrats to your Hokie Heroes.

I didn't expect GT to win but you saw the dramatic differences between a program on the rise and one whose glory remains of yesteryear. Gailey's track record had been one of average/above-average coaching ability for both gameday situations and weekly practice. Quite possibly hiding behind the skills of his athletes. Yes, when VT scored off the MFG the Jackets had a near impossible climb. But rather than play to their strengths and try to build momentum, remind the hokies it was a game, restore hope, whatever, the Jackets played as if there was no specific strategy at all. What? Didn't realize it was #3 VT you're playing? They didn't roll Ball out to where he's more effective, they didn't blitz Vick enough and they certainly didn't play to win.

All the good will Gailey had with beating Auburn is now spent. He MUST win every home game (including UGA), beat Duke on the road and win a bowl game to finish 9-3 and maintain his respect and his job, IMO.

In the meantime I'm penciling VT in as this year's Auburn. Sadly, I don't think Texas or USC will lose. (Though, that would be a heck of a game!)

I work for a Cell Phone company. And basically I got in trouble for selling some guy a new phone and wireless package who couldnt speak english THAT well.

When ur on the phone with a costomer, after they initially agree to buy and they are giving you their account details and you get conformation, If they say "No" for anything, you have to just close. But this guy said no because he didnt understand something, so I explained it to him clearly and then he said yes.

Anyways, the sale went through but I got in trouble anyways.

Normally I would have got a slap on the wrist but today was like quality assurance day. All the big bosses were listening to all of us. I wasnt the only who got in trouble. About 10 people were made examples of today.

Damn you Neo for being competent! That is crazy stuff. When I call my mobile phone company, I wish I could speak with someone who has a brain and can think.

I was watching a series of documentaries here on the National Geographic Channel about the Mafia, where they talked about both the American and the Sicilian mafias. It was interesting to see how everything connected and lined up. Hill was a major part of it, and was one of the few actual wiseguys on the show. The other one always wore a big hat and sunglasses so he wouldn't get recognized. If you happen to catch that show, it's well worth watching.

Also, anyone else see that Hill works in Nebraska as a chef at an Italian restaurant? Talk about a "where are they now?" moment.

Really? I thought he was still up in Washington State. The guy really is a mess, he's always calling into the Howard Stern show wasted and making an ass out of himself. I'm a huge fan of Goodfellas though, and if you like that movie you should check out the book Wiseguy, which the movie was adapted from.
