i think people are mis-interpreting my question.. it was pretty much a yes/no kinda deal. seems i got defensive answers.. lmao
i've just been reading alot lately and was wondering just how far behind the curve i am~
Maybe it was the seemingly sarcastic READ in caps and italics?!?!? Hmmmmm...... :p which was why I told you what I have read lately to my son. :D

i saw napolean dynamite withing the past couple weeks for the first time..
is that movie that great??? i maybe laughed twice.. was that over-hyped?

I'm 100% behind you... overhyped, the "Arcade Fire" of indie movies if you will CFCinDC ;)
Actually I'm not a violent person, but if I see one more person with a "Vote for Pedro" shirt, I'll kill them.

I turned it off after like 20 minutes. I don't get it, i thought it was terrible, but if you mention that you hated it around school here, people are ready to fight you.

IMO....hilarious. I didn't see it in theaters b/c of the hype. when I did, I rotflmao. but the hype phactor can kill movies phor sure.
re: Arcade Fire. as riz will attest, I could not get into them. It took me listening to the album like 15 times before I finally enjoyed it. They are good and 'Funeral' is a great album....just not album of the year, IMO.
but it was AWESOME seeing Bowie do 2 songs with them. :D

What's the title?
A Long Way Down. Pretty good so far. It is about 4 people who meet on top of a building on New Years Eve and were planning on commiting suicide.
Also just bought Vonnegut's 'Breakfast of Champions', Robbins' 'Still Life With Woodpecker', and the Ultimate Hitchickers Guide in honor of Dan. I got these as b-day presents, but normally get books from the library. I have to read every night or else I can't go to sleep! Plus, sometimes it is fun to take a day off and stay in reading all day.

I turned it off after like 20 minutes. I don't get it, i thought it was terrible, but if you mention that you hated it around school here, people are ready to fight you.
You need to watch the rest of it IMO. In the first 20 minutes I was kind of unsure about it, but watched the rest and then one more time. It kind of grows on you and is much funnier.

Always go with the live choice. You never know when or where someone could ruin the outcome for you. Plus it's way more exciting/intense watching it live as opposed to delayed.
Geez I cant wait for my next trip to Lucky Bar... when's the next Arsenal-Chelsea? :)

moneyball, definitely. other baseball books worth reading: halberstam did one on the yankees/cardinals in 1964, and one i think on the brooklyn team of '49; and the best baseball book ive ever read, Lords Of The Realm by John Helyar.
