Who saw the Ghana vs. China game? That was robbery at it utmost highest. When would african teams be free from robbery? The Ghanaians played like heroes yet the referee quashed every chance they had. The scored two clear goals in 15 mins that was disallowed by the referee. Two clear penalty ignored. Instead of a penalty, the referee gave a freekick in the 18-yard box. What was the referee thinking? The chinise had a 7-man wall on their goal line. Another Ghanaian top striker was given a red card for a high foot tackle and yet they fought like soldiers till the end. It's sad that these talents would be forgotten. They Chinese once again exhibited the delaying antics.

In fact FIFA should look into issues where referees take advantage of some teams. This doesn't only happen to african teams. It's a matter that has to be corrected.

African teams rock! I think an African team will play semi in the WC2006 and final in WC2010. Good luck Africa.

Not to mention the Chinese used bunker tactics, diving and time wasting excessively. No idea why a ref would reward that crappy style of play

They got what they deserved though, Turkey kicked their a*ses. Hopefully the ref gets his kicked by FIFA as well.

this has happened before, there are 1 billion people in China, if they keep advancing and winning, that will be a huge benefit for FIFA, this happened in the AC vs Iran, the reffing there was shiet

Yeah, I agree with you Mr. Karimi...

I remember China were virtually handed a spot in the 2002 World Cup. I think the final 10 teams in the qualifiers were Iran, Saudi, China, UAE, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Thailand - who were placed in two groups of five - with the group winners qualifying automatically qualifying and the runnersup playing off with for a playoff with a European runner-up. The obvious thing to do was to seed Iran and Saudi - who had both qualified for the last WC but incredibly, FIFA seeded Saudi and the UAE - who have done ******** all in football except for qualify for the 1990 WC and reach the Asian cup final which they hosted. So what do you know - Iran and Saudi get grouped together in a group of death along with a stron Iraq team and an ever improving Bahrain team. Thailand making the other team in that group. Anyway, while China found themselves with the capable but inconsistant Qatar and UAE, and Uzbekistan and the then whipping boys Oman (although Oman have improved vastly since then).

My point is - the minute I saw that draw - it was an obvious scam to get China into it's first world cup, which was ironically being played in neighbouring Korea and Japan. China dully qualified for the world cup but turned out to be way out of their depth at that level. While Iran and Saudi battled it out as expected with the Saudi's winning the group and Iran going out to Ireland in the playoffs. Still, the fact that those two nations (Iran and Saudi) were grouped together was a total travesty imo.

Except the seeding you mentioned, China would have the same chance of getting both Iran and Saudi Arabia in the same group and as in a group without both of them. If Iran was given the higher seed than UAE, China would at least avoid one of them. The chance for them to finish second in the group would have been better. If they really want China to qualify, they would have seeded China along with Saudi Arabia or Iran along with Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, with UAE on as seed, China still had a chance to draw with Iran and Saudi Arabia on the same group because there were four 2nd seeds. The seedings had nothing to do with it.

Do the math!!!!!!!!!!!!!
