Is FIFA planning "The Other Final" again like they did with Bhutan-Montserrat?

Right now it'd be Guam (204) and American Samoa (205).

FIFA didn't plan the Bhutan-Montserrat final. It was the brainchild of some Dutch entrepeneurs.

I sure hope so. I loved the smack talk last time. The only problem this time is that both are 1) American territories and 2) both in Oceania. It would be more fun with two countries on opposite sides of the globe.

Actually Skip, Guam plays in the AFC and because of short funds, they chose not to compete in World Cup Qualifiers in this cycle. In fact, several of the AFC members chose not to compete (Philippines, Macau, and Brunei among others). If it can be arranged, it would be great!

Guam to American Samoa: We're gonna go aircraft carrier on your *****!
American Samoa reply: You ain't got the coconuts!

:D

Thanks for the clarification and thats good news!

Here's a question though- I just saw your other thread, the one welcoming East Timor and Comoros Islands to the fold. they aren't ranked yet, but might they get ranked sometime soon and possibly upset ....

The Punchout in the Pacific!

The South Seas Slam!

The Island Inquisition!

(Help me here folks!)

Comoros will be affiliated with CAF (Africa). East Timor will align with AFC (Asia).

I like Island Inquisition (nobody EXPECTS the Island Inquisition!)

How about---Micronesian Meltdown

Pacific Pandemonium

War By The Shore

Another possibility if you toss out the rhyming and the alliteration examples could be: "The 'I can't freakin' believe we're playing this final because we're one of the two worst teams in the world' Championship".

It would be interesting to see where Comoros and East Timor will be ranked when they get listed next month. New Caledonia came on board last year and had the initial "lofty" ranking of 186!

Funny thing if these two did play, they're both American territories.

The doc is still online. Select "bekijk" right from the title.

They should have a small tournament for this with the bottom eight teams:

Brunei
Aruba
Afghanistan
Djibouti
Montserrat
Turks & Caicos Islands
Guam
American Samoa

Split them into two groups and either have the winners face off for the championship. It could be set up like the OFC nations cup where all the games are played within the span of a week.

They're not fit enough for a 5-match tournament.

They're not fit enough for a 5-match tournament.

Just do single elimination, 3 games apiece or less.

im sure none of them will catch the irony of how we are just trying to see who is the least of most awful. though these countries need to play more games. you cant just play once a year and call your selves a natl team
