So I occasionally get viewerzone surveys via email. This one is about.... soccer coverage. After wondering what smarty-pants BS poster broke into the ESPN servers and got my email address, I filled it out.
Mostly questions about interest in World Cup coverage (Duh). A little bit about which leagues people typically follow, and an open-ended question about what they could do to encourage more viewership. Lookout tomorrow gang, the sun may rise in the West.

I was able to fill it out this morning so they received at least 2 positive comments for more coverage!

Yeah, I took it too. I mentioned it in the topic about ESPN hating soccer so that all the people who could complain there would have a chance to be heard.

Dang, it closed already.
It's because ESPN hates soccer! :D
No seriously, why did they close it so early?

44 minutes.
So you're saying the survey was only available for 44 minutes?

So you're saying the survey was only available for 44 minutes? Are you sure? The email I got was timed at 7:15AM (not sure timezone) and I was going to answer it after doing some work. Then, I realize ESPN might pull it so answered the survey at 9:30AM PST. :)

Why would they pull it?
My God, the paranoia here is absolutely insane.

I was going by time difference between the first post which said the survey is available, and the first post which said it is not available anymore.
How did you realize "ESPN might pull it"? Are you clairvoyant or something?
Why would they pull it?
My God, the paranoia here is absolutely insane.
Irrespective of whether the paranoia is insane or not, it does in fact look like they pulled it. It says "it is not available anymore". How can it become unavailable without it being pulled? Are we doing semantic nitpicking here?

How does that make it "early?"
Seriously, a post on BigSoccer isn't when something starts. Do you also have a frame of reference involving other ESPN surveys?

Could it be that ESPN has a certain limit to the number of surveys that they take in? It's quite possible that they were bombarded with responses from people on boards like this one and reached their quota fairly quickly. But that can't be it because ESPN hates soccer so they must have ended it early to prevent all of us from responding to a survey that they sent out by email in order to get responses.

Survey works for me as of right now!

Problem resolved! Paranoia does reign supreme indeed, due to a bit of misinformation.
There is a problem with the link that was posted by Golazo. Do not click on it. In it, the password = 4453 was intended only specifically for him (/her?). Each individual survey taker got their own password. Since Golazo posted the link only after taking the survey, no wonder it states that the survey is now unavailable. The correct link for the survey is below. Enter the individual password you were provided with.

The survey has not been closed, or been "pulled". I just entered my comments.
P.S. ESPN still hates soccer! :p

P.P.S. The world begins and ends with, and revolves around BigSoccer. :p :D
