September is more successful than August for Olympians. Two matches in a week, two great matches. And OM climbs and keeps climbing. Slowly but surely. 20th position is far now. On the contrary to first part of ranking, which is far from only two points. Mediterranean should not wait long before reaching it if they continue to play like the first period against Troyes.

Their start could even be perfect if the goal scored by Gimenez in the first minute wasn’t refused because of off-side. Frustration past away when at 22nd minute Ribery used a powerful free kick from Taiwo slowed down by the wall and prolonged by Niang. The midfielder then had good gestures and stayed cool headed to pass trough the goalkeeper and score.
The goal made official the OM’s exclusive domination. Into the bargain it encouraged it to begin like this. The Mediterranean team then showed a smiling face. There were movement, passes and even a Papin style’s shot from Lamouchi! It was 35th minute and Taiwo shot a long and precise pass like he knows how to do. Who was catching it? Gimenez? Niang ? No ! Lamouchi. And the attacker’s position goes with an attacker’s gesture : a splendid shot from right foot which directly went to the Le Crom’s top corner. A piece of art, both for balance and precision. The difference was made.

Unfortunately, like bad weather soon had a harmful effect on the ground and playing conditions, next of the match was less shining for Marseille. Even if they were less punchy in early second period, they above all underwent unpredictable Troyes’return, thanks to a litigious penalty. A little bit like Ferreira against Ajaccio, the Taiwo’s fault was only obvious to the referee. Which was unfortunately enough for Troyes’ happiness, and for Grax who transformed (55th).

This goal created a certain feverishness in the olympians’ ranks. We felt them unease face to their adversary’s birthing ardour. This fear of equalisation, a bit too obvious, disappeared in the last fifteen minutes when they took back their destiny into hands. Samir Nasri’s coming (like last Thursday against Belgium) largely took part of this dynamic. Even if OM didn’t scored a final goal, despite two beautiful occasions for Gimenez and Nasri, it lives more serenely its last moments till the final whistle.
