Who will win the World Cup 2006???
I am surpised that no one has started this thread, so here it goes.
Apologies to those countries not mentioned in the poll as the limit is 16, and the countries listed have the best odds with the bookies.

No idea yet. Brazil have the best odds, so say the professionals, but even they only have less than a %25 chance.

How about more the top 8, any country below spain should be discarded, is that more realistic???
I'll bet most would agree but give the likes of Portugal, USA, Mexico a chance will you?

I'm not sure bigsoccer allows more than 16 poll options. I think you did fine and hanul21 is asking for too much.

Germany winning is more like wishfull thinking, same with England, but being realistically I'll have to go with Brasil, nothing so far would say otherwise, their horrid defense is cancelled out by a fantastic attack.

Honestly who voted for the US? I'm as big of an American soccer fan as anyone but come on...
With that said the Dutch will win it all in '06.

I wish Germany will win, I'm being really optimistic so I voted for them....
Even though that might be wishful thinking, you never know with Germany, especially since they have the home advantage.

I'm glad the U.S. made the Big Soccer rankings/poll. If they didn't, I'd have to send a nasty letter explaining how we are one of the best in the world. :-D

But you're not....sorry to burst your bubble but the rankings don't really mean shyte. Also, the qualification results, within that group, doesn't justify any claim of being the best either. I'm sure you can understand why.

History taught us that in Europe it should be European country who wins it and at this moment Holland looks confident team. They won last tournament to take place in Germany (Euro 88), why wouldn't they do it once again.
Exactly there is no clear favourite so I think that Germany, England, France, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and Argentina can do it too...

The Czechs gonna win it..provided Karel Bruckjner persist with the lineup that thrashed Macedonia in the qualifiers with Baros,Koller and Lokvenc as the 3 out and out forwards.

All I Got To Say Is Anything Can Happen But Some Of Us Here Are Alittle Biased So It Seems Brazil Is The Team To Beat
