Maybe i was a little harsh on Brunell.
I'm reminded of a saying involving a blind squirrel and a nut...or maybe it was a blind nut and a squirrel...

5-5 Sox and Tribe going to the bottom of the 8th. Sox were up 5-4 and Marte walked a guy and Jenks gave up a hit to have him score. come on the White Sox!!!

Sorry Dan, Sox lose again. Fact of the day: On August 1st the Sox had a 15 game lead, now they have a 2.5 game lead with 5 to play against the Indians. I'd be worried if I were you.

See the one good thing about being a suffering Cubs fan is that I don't have to worry about us being in the race every year, which gives me the oppurtunity to rip on other teams as they fall apart. :)

In that case, it's great to be a Pirates fan this time of year!

It's a dark and stormy night out here in SD. Thunder and lightning all around. To be honest, its nice. I hope it rains all day tomorrow. so i can stay in bed and not feel bad about it.

Arsenal 2-0 over Everton

Giants 27-10 over Saints

Yanks win 3-2 thanks to a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth, now only 1/2 game out of first in the East

Turn that frown upside down, little fella.

It has been a very nice few days for sports for most of us on the boards-my Falcons lost but my Eagles won, Dawgs won, Josh's footie team and my women's team won, Arsenal won......good stuff for the most part! :D
I watched the replay of the match last night and it should have been 100-0.......so much opportunity and so little finishing but we got the 3 points and that is all that matters! :p

I know this is the OT thread, but doesn't this remind you of the 1999-2000 & 2000-2001 seasons?

Last time I checked the score and noticed that the stadium had not imploded (sadly! ;) I keed I keed) the score was 10-0 and I thought about how smug one certain Phish fan was gonna be if the "Goat Ropers" won.......interesting turn of events. Guess I should have stayed tuned in! :D

Hi all,

Giants 27-10 over Saints
Must be nice to get 9 home games this year. Stupid, cheating NFL.

My wife, a big Cowboys fan, just left for the office...an office full of Redskin fans.

Hopefully your wife is not really a "trash talker" Cannon or it will be a long day! :D

the only thing I am going to say is twofold:

1. entering last night's fourth qtr, Bill Parcells record when leading by 13 points or more was

77 - 0

2. at the conclusion of last night's game, Bill Parcells record was 77 - 1.

tough loss for the texans.

Getting a late start on the day. :( I went and filled up the car and went to Walmart and got some basic hurricane supplies: Water, coolers, and shotgun shells.

All I will say about the game last night is Dallas didn't deserve to win with the crappy play calling at the end, but neither did the Sk*nz with crap play till the last 5 minutes.

if there was a cowboys phorum, I sure would be trolling it right now :p
but since we all (at least us gunners, sorry rizzlelelle:p) share this OT, I won't be too harsh....

Cam,

Best of luck with Rita...I hope all goes well.

on the other note: don't be a sore loser. I was prepared to congratulate the girls on their victory; it's just too bad they can't play for a full four qtrs. and as Rick Fox's wife sang...the skins 'saved the best for last'
