from what i've read the first season was weird
Yeah. I think it's on Netflix if you have it. Might be worth spending a weekend catching up. If you don't have Netflix, let me know, and I can send you one of the free trial membership emails.

Well, the track has turned further north again. Good news for me and I will probably stay put. Bad news for all my friends in Houston and Galveston. G-Town is going to be wiped out.:(

Hey guys. Hope all is well with everyone today. Rita is getting crazy! You sure you want to stay put Cam?
As for the Shield, probably March of 2006......
Stay safe Cam. Friends of mine down in Corpus have already moved more inland - get to higher ground inland if you can.
Man, is Mother Nature pissed off or what. :(

Speaking of headlines, AJC.com (Atlanta Journal/ Constitution) this morning reads "Delta Slashing up to 9,000 jobs"

Yeah, I saw that yesterday and wondered how many of those passengers weren't in on the story. "You mean we landed for what reason again?"
Seems to me the airline industry is taking a beating in more ways than one. Even though I gripe about the costs for flying from ATL to Albany, NY, it is amazing that it's possible (though possibly not for much longer) to fly from major city to major city for less than $100. Maybe those fares really are too good to be true seeing as all the airlines are billions in debt. Methinks the country should've invested some capital in railline construction.

It is pretty incredible that a flight to Norfolk, VA and back costs less than a roundtrip amtrak ticket. but I do agree, a modern highspeed rail would be a great addition. That makes me think of the Simpson's episode where Homer was the captain of the Sprinfield Highspeed rail....thank god for donuts.

The latest track has it going east of Galveston Bay. That is a 4 hour drive from here, way far away. Galveston is going to be royally messed up though and now Louisiana is going to receive a major blow.
So us in CCTX are pretty much in the clear. Of course, the boards are up and we are ready to leave if need be, but I am almost certain we will be staying here. Lucky for us, but not for friends and family north of here.
