Gunner Phan, a question...what is that thing Beamer has on his neck? is it a goiter?

lol...they fitted him with a turkey collar when he took over the reigns....

;) yes, it's a goiter. That's what gives us special teams power!

yeah but have you heard 40,000 or so pairs of keys being shaken at the same time on every 3rd down our defense phaces? that is why Kirky Herbstreit named Va Tech as the toughest stadium to play in.
That does sound absolutely horrible. Did your parents make out ok with the hurricane last week? They showed scenes from Wrightsville beach almost all day long. It's always a tad eerie to see it during a storm.

That'd be some "ziti", right? Anyway, when are they going to show coverage from RCMH? I need me some T-rey, even if he is a ********ing Sith.

I don't think there will be coverage from radio city. I almost bought tix to that but $60 to sit in the back four row of the 3rd mezz at Radio city? No thanks...I'll just hold my 2 phish shows, 2 SCI, and a soon to be David Gray show there close to my heart.

But yes, trey is a **********n jedi sith master of the highest, and I mean highest, order.

Let me ask you, did you seriously consider going to Vegoose? I did, I am almost mad I am not going.

Not that I can seriously begrudge the $19.95 I've given to charity tonight, but to have no coverage of the Radio City show will be a travisty.

All those shows, and no Rockettes? :p

Trey was a Jedi, until he broke up the band and went all Anakin on us.

No, I couldn't go to that for the same reason I couldn't go on the Arsenal America roadtrip. We've got 2 huge projects going on at work, one of which is set to go live 11/1, and the other is set to go live 12/15. :(

agree but still don't think they will have it. we would've already seen something IMO.

um, mike, come on now. my motto: Some Trey > No Trey (and btw the anakin reference, now that i get it, is stupendous! bravo!)

Keys? You jingle keys? Scary stuff. Are the janitors like the coolest people at the game or what? ;)
Actually, the janitors are the most distinguished alumni from VT. :D

And GP, we did the same thing at Syracuse. It's actually a tradition at a lot of schools.

As for loudest/toughest stadiums to play in, here's my list:

1. Kyle Field, Texas A&M
2. Ohio Stadium, Ohio St.
3. Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech
4. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee
5. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida

An honorable mention goes to Mountaineer Field in West Virginia, only because of the following exchange I had with one of the SU tight ends a number of years ago prior to their trip to Blacksburg:

Me: So is Lane Stadium the toughest place for you guys?
TE: One of them, although West Virginia's pretty bad too.
Me: Mountaineer Field? Why?
TE: Well, you know how our student section used to throw oranges back in the day?
Me: Yeah.
TE: Their student section throws whiskey bottles.
Me: Oh.

I don't know if there are any Flogging Molly fans going on the Arse Am trip, but they are touring England that week with concerts in and around London all week.

WVU? Oh yeah, it's a tradition after big wins (burning them, not throwing them). There used to be used furniture stores that kept a stock of really old couches lying around just for that occassion. Last year, Morgantown police and fire department literally were going door to door collecting anything off porches that might be used for kindling.

Um, yeah, one of my best phriends went to WVU, maybe not in your time, but they have thrown burning couches at other teams and/or their buses.
