Interesting piece in icNewcastle last night, detailing how apparently NUFC and Chel-ski are going to be asked into the 'exclusive' G-14. Not sure whether this actually means anything at all, really, but something worth tossing out there, I suppose.

i heard there was 2 meetings at sporting lisbon when we were playing there
1 was for hugo "tosser" viana and the other was for this g-14
but i really dont understand why we would want to be in it?

Because it makes us look like a professionally well-run club. Plus it gives us something to Lord over the Spurs fans :p

Yeah, coz your attempts to "learn us some respect" with football honours haven't really worked out well eh Graeme? :D
Actually, it's excellent news. You'll have a lot more clout and input into many descisions. Raises the profile of the club and only good things can come from it really. Just goes to show that you don't always have to be a winner to get ahead in life. :p

Actually thinking about, I knew it used to be called the G-12 or something but my brain has been addled over the years. Too many drugs make me something something.

There's actually already 18 teams in the G-14. It's kinda like the Big Ten. Or something.

Indeed. I'm the one in my group who likes bands which are obscure to the prols over here who listen to nothing but Coldplay and Keane, no offense to those bands.
