Overrated: Hines Ward and Dallas Stars hockey.

Oh, eddie, how I long to see you trying to bring the puck across the blue line with your head down...;)

Seriosuly, though, have you seen any games yet this year? I went to the Stars/Oilers game last night. Either the refs are going to have to ease up on calling EVERY FLIPPING BIT OF CONTACT or we are in for a Looooooooong season. The game had absolutely no flow whatsoever. 20 power plays between both teams. Basically it was just 20 minutes of 5 on 5, and it about killed me. The physical play is way down, but on the positive side there were no high sticking calls. The restrictions on where the goalie can play the puck weren't a factor (thank God for that, since Turco loves to handle the biscuit), and there were only a couple of 2 line passes all night. If things stay the same, the NHL will increase scoring, but certainly not in the way the intended.

Side Note: With the current rules, no one can handle Georges Laraque. Absolutely no one. Thank the Lord he isn't that great with the puck.

Hmmm, so you have a blind spot for pretty girls in football kits? Interesting... :p

LOL. I actually figured she would be wearing a footy kit - so was looking for a lass without an Arsenal shirt on and the only one I saw was not American :)

On and off. They were calling everything, everywhere. It was, to put it mildly, ridiculous.

hmm, i thought you could check on the puck, but they were going to whistle more stuff (checking, grabbing, hooking) off the puck.

I think the players need to adapt more to the new rules.

I do hope that you don't think that your sig is taking a shot at me or that you're calling me a plastic, please elaborate. Can you argue with that comment? That comment was directed at the league as a whole. Hence I never said Chelsea...but money. The league is just not that fun anymore. If you're a supporter of any of the top 4 teams, why wake up at 7am to watch them play Villa? You know the result already, sleep in, get some morning nookie, then check the score on the internet.

Actually, eddie, I think it's a compliment. He's using you as an example of a Blues fan who actually has contact with the reality of the situation ,unlike, say, ZANI, with his continual efforts to convinve everyone that Drogba is not only in Henry's class, but better in some strange and wonderful "ZANI-like" way...

Ahhh, I wasn't sure how to take it. The way he said to look at his sig I kind of thought he was razzing me but it did not make sense to me why. Well compliment taken Billy (and Bluto)...THANK YOU, I guess. I don't know if it's a compliment when you complain that your team helped contribute to the dullness of the Premiership.
