Although, if you played me a Zwan song and a Pumpkins song, I don't know that I'd be able to tell the difference. Except *maybe* Zwan is using some backing vocals.
For the band to actually sound different than the Pumpkins, Billy would have had to have used another drummer, but why would you want to?

If Billy Corgan had any balls he woud have put together a heavy metal band instead of a band that sounds just like the Pumpkins.

Billy Corgan must like to F his bassists because Smashing Pumpkins had a female bass player when she left they replaced her with another female now this new band here has a female bassist too. Is this all a coinsidence I think not!

Posted my review here (http://www.notabbott.com/reviews/), with some other comments about my evening here (http://www.notabbott.com/music/). Okay, I only linked the latter bit because I thought the title was funny.

I saw their video the other day and have to say it was a catchy song, but as others have said, it sounds just like Smashing Pumpkins. They were cool in the early 90's, but its 2003 now and it doesn't sound period relevant, lets progress with our musical tastes. That goes for Billy Corgan and anyone who thinks this is still cool.

I liked your review.
If I said anything negative towards Zwan I fear I might be out a boyfriend.
What exactly is "sound period relevant"?

Or rather, out of a long distance ************ buddy, mascarading as a boyfriend.
But, I digress. Time period relevant. It would be like writing songs about the Vietnam war, but today. Or rather, it would be like writing love songs in the midst of WW3. It sounds out of place. Specifically the world seems destined to go into the one of its worst periods in a long time, after terrorists attacks and threats of terrorists attacks and Billy's still singing happy fun time songs. Hmm...

************ buddy, boyfriend...whatever you want to call it it's more than anything you'll ever have. Or not have. When exactly did you last have interaction with a girl and sorry your mom, sister or niece doesn't count?
So because the we're near a war now that's all people should be singing about? Most people would think the opposite. In that, if things are depressing at least one thing, music, should be uplifting.
And you say "Billy's still singing happy fun time songs"...I know I haven't listened to a few Pumpkins CDs for a while but from what I can remember, it wasn't all happy fun stuff.
Anyways, this is supposed to be about Zwan so whatever.

Now sweetie, it is the 21st century after all...if he wants to have interactions with other men it's not our place to tell him what a ********* he is. You can't force anyone to like girls. I'm sure he'll just figure it out over time and then he'll wish he had come out of the closet years before.
Seriously you ************ing prick, you would never ever say jack ************ to my face. Of course for that to happen you'd have to show your ********* ass in public, and that is a direct conflict with your "I like to sit in my basement and masturbate to gay porn" lifestyle. I'll be more than happy to knock your faggit ass all the way back to butt ************ing Indiana should I ever get the pleasure. You are exactly how I thought you were...a ************ing little coward who'll sit there and think you're better than everyone else, all the while you manage to show just what a socially depressed ********* you are.
"exnihilocreatia: i wish i could be more of an *********************"-- Hey, don't sell yourself short...you're a great *********************. It's just that you're an even greater *********.
"exnihilocreatia: the girls i like im SO nice too they end up wanting to be my buddy"-- Yeah, girls kinda have what you might call a "gay radar" thing that lets them know when a guy is too light in the pants. Obviously you serve as a great example that their radar systems are functioning properly.

And it's funny, because when I think of music from the mid to late 60's, for instance, I do think of songs that followed the trend you speak of...the "make love not war" philosophy.
As for now, well its probably not so obvious as it was back then, but when you think about it you can make the same coorelations.

Most definately it wasn't. And in that same regard, Zwan's music has very similar sounds (as you would expect coming from the same songwriter/lead guitarist/drummer as you had in SP), but it's also different in it's approach and fine tuned differently.

Yeah, imagine that...Jeremy the ********* actually got 2 very good on topic posts out of his original intent, which was just to provoke me and show what an ankle biter he is.
