Won 9-1 at home against the other promotee. Picked up one +1 injury. This season might become pretty boring for me, as I'm playing 2 walkovers in a row now (there are 3 in total  ) and then my TS should be high enough to PIC through most of the rest of the season.

I'm up against my series other autopromotee at his place. My team is quite a bit better than his so under normal circumstances I'd be able to win this match without difficulty but I'm going to be using a mix of backups and starters with a PIC so I might be upset.

First match in DV should be a breeze..newbie that hasnt logged in the past week and put of 55 hats rating in the cup. Playing my scrubs so starters can play in the cup. 3 of 4 games to start the season will be PICs (cup 1, league round 1 and 2).

I open with what on paper might be our best chance to earn a win on the season, with last year's 7th place team. But both of us are improved, and he should pull around a 100 hatstats to my 92. Anybody got a good idea for a tactical surprise? :)

I open up against a brand new team that was formed when the div V demotee was reset... I'm playing a mix of first a second teamers so I'll be able to take a shot at my next cup opponent.

face sandown north, a decent opponent on the road to start, the guy had a spat with danks a couple seasons ago on the HT boards...I told him to step down, now he MOTS's me everytime and has won 3 out of our 4 meetings in 2 seasons.

This time my TS and IM form are in good shape so I'll match his MOTS....an early decisive game for sure.

Away against the number three team, should be a real dogfight.

play the team I beat on the last day of the season to take first, should be a very interesting game tomorrow night, too bad I'll miss it, I'm gonna be partying it up when my tournament in Memphis is over.

Got a guy who pulls hatstats in the 140's. Right now, I'm just trying to make the score respectable. I've pretty much relegated myself to the fact that I won't be in this series next year.

Playing the other promotee in my series. Very big game for me. HE gets higher Hatstas but my midfield is a little better. HE also always presses for some reason. 3pts here at home is huge for survial in my series.

Playing the other D6 promotee at my place. He's also a new owner, with the team having changed hands right after the last owner won in D6.

PIC this match, PIC cup match, then get ready to be whomped on by the rest of the league for the next 13-14 weeks.

Counterattacking if your defenders have good passing--especially if you have a 4- or 5-man backline.

Play creatively if you have lots of players with specialties.

Pressing if you have lots of starters--defenders or otherwise--with good defensive skills, especially if you have powerful players.

Of course, pressing and counterattacking are only good if your midfield is worse than your opponent's. Since I don't know any details, it's hard for me to recommend anything other than the generalities above.

[edit]--my match this week: 55525856. Should be pretty good. We're pretty evenly matched. Last year we split the series, each of us winning 1-0 on the road. I'm guessing both of us are PIC'ing, so it should be close but I think I have the upper hand.

Tonight I begin a season of bot-stomping. My prediction, 834-0.

The bigger question is.... Are you gonna play with the grown-ups in the BS Cup this season? ;)

45 minutes to match time

A little nervous. My opponent had 105 Hatstats in his cup match this week, and according to the HT Ratings Calc I can expect 113, but I'm also playing with a formation I've never used before -- 3-4-3. But I am at home and did beat them 5-2 last season, so it really is a match I should win.

i'm playing a newly demoted team from IV. the guy gets over 200s in hatstats so i'm pretty much dead. i found one weakness in the guy's team, his midfield. in his past 2 games, he's had a poor and a weak midfield so i'll press and load up the middle

I'm doubly nervous about my match, too, because only minutes after it's done is my excellent winger's deadline. He's up to $357k now and I can only hope he'll get to $400k before he's sold.

I'm playing against the reigning series champs in their house. This' gonna set the tone for the season.

But I can't follow my game on an empty stomach -- just made a nice big plate of spaghetti and chicken. Mmmmmmm.....

But at least if I don't win today -- today I just clinched promotion with my ManagerZone team with a 3-1 win.

Herro's Heroes - SC Bearkat

With my form in the tank after offseason training switches and the oppositions known quantities, this one looks to be a tough road start to the season.

4-5-1 w/OCD in anticipation of a 3-5-2. Hope to keep it close and get a point.
