No.
Can they be beaten away. Yes. That is, if things go very right for the opposing team and very wrong for Brazil.
End of both this thread and the other one like it.

In the history of World Cup competition, quals and world cup final tournament,
BRAZIL HAD LOST ONLY ONE GAME AT HOME.
And we all know what game it was.
You can win all the WCQ at home, but if you can't win the World Cup final...

You can win all the WCQ at home, but if you can't win the World Cup final...You have to hear about it even 55 years later!
But, since it was seeing his father cry after hearing Brazil lose that made Pelé promise to him that he'd win the World Cup, I'll take that trade-off.

Wow, you would trade 6 World Cups for 5 World Cups?
There is absolutely no reason to think that had Brazil won in 1950, they would have eased off in 1958. History has told us that success breeds more success. The bar has been raised...

I'm not the kind of person who believes that, for example, had Brazil not lost in 1950 and therefore Pele's father not cried over it and therefore Pele not made the promise and therefore not had sufficient motivation to become the best player ever and therefore not provided the goal that won the quarters (nevermind the hat-trick in the semi-final and the two in the final) and therefore Brazil not won 1958 and possiby not 1962 and 1970...
It is absurd and I don't believe it.
It's as absurd as hearing "Uruguay 1950" be brought up every time Brazil plays at home.

Not absurd at all . . . They lost a final at home.

Upsets happen, and Brazil 1950 is still good evidence. But it's the same as saying "no-one's unbeatable, anyone could lose at home". It's a bit like a cop-put instead of talking about the subject.
Although, to be fair, the thread is a bit of a spoof of the other one it seems.

If anyone can beat Brazil it will be Argentina. Of course, you have those days were not even zeus himself can beat Brazil.. They look awesome with the KAKA-Ronaldinho-Ronaldo-Adriano combination.

For that combination, I have Kili, Mascherano,Lucho and Riqueleme to counter that.
Argentina can do it, its just that injuries and goddamn suspensions have left Pekerman to select and chose from a massive squad and there might not be time to gel.
Brasil on the other hand have had the core of players for a long time now ..

Yes I agree if anyone can beat Brasil in Brasil it would be Argentina. What a fierce rivalry those 2 countries have.

People say that Brazil can't win World Cup excluding two situations:
1. They have Pele
2. They have Cafu
If they have one of them, they let him play in 4 World Cup finals what brings 3 gold medals (75% - not a bad score),
It also shows that increasing meaning of defence in modern game.

i know but he is predicted to play. maybe cicinho or whoever will be 2nd rightback will be given a chance if the final if cafu receives second yellow in semifinal or something.
people always say that cafu was brazil right back in three world cups but if i remember well, in usa 94 he was not first choice, jorginho was, cafu had luck to replace him in the final.

The fact that he is 35 and still a starter for AC Milan, one of the most powerful squads in the world, and Brasil, speaks for itself
