Glad to hear the Austria/Switzerland bid for Euro 2008 won. Should be a very nice event. I might need to make a trip over there...

Well, for all the talk about the Scotland/Ireland bid, it didn't even make the final three. I was quite surprised to see Hungary not only in the final three but awarded the same number of votes as Austria/Switzerland in the first ballot. After Greece/Turkey was eliminated, the Austria/Switzerland bid won by 9-3 over Hungary.

It's hard for me to describe the joy I felt when the decision was announced - so I won't :D (Besides, I'm completely up to my neck with work for Finals this week)

YEAH!!! I will get my PHd in 2007, mabye the summer of 2008 I will have to go to Switzerland to do some research!!!

Much celebration and pride over this one among the Swiss. Count on them to put on a first class Euro 2008 (with the Grosh.
