Prediction Thread - U-17 WC Peru

I’ve noticed that there’s no prediction thread for the U-17 World Championship so I thought I’d start one if anyone’s interested in playing. My apologies to Bosphurus Bull and Tecos – we kind of started predicting on another thread but I reckon it’s better to just start from scratch from day 2 so more people can get a shot at playing.

I don’t mind keeping score. Don’t know what the standard scoring procedure is but I’ll start by scoring like this… 2 points for the correct result, 1 point for each team’s score predicted correctly, 5 points for correct result and score.

So basically say if Team A is playing Team B….
- If you predict 1-1 and the score is 0-0, you get 2 points for the correct result.
- If you predict 1-1 and Team A win 2-1, you get 1 point for predicting Team B’s score
- If you predict Team A winning 2-1 and Team A wins 3-1, you get 3 points – 2pts for the correct result and 1 pt. For Team B’s correct score
- If you predict Team A wins 3-1 and Team A does win 3-1, you get 5 points – 2 pts for correct result + 1 point for Team A score + 1 point for Team B score + 1 bonus point for correct result.
- If you predict Team A beats Team B 2-1 but Team B beats Team A 2-1 - that's 0 points.

Seem fair? If not, feel free to make any suggestions.

Anyway… I guess we’ll start by doing days 2, 3 & 4. Oh yeah, all predictions must be submitted before kickoff time or else I won’t give points for predictions made for games after they’ve kicked off…

Wow a goal crazy 2nd day! 20 goals in the first 3 matches followed by four more in Gambia's upset of Brazil. That makes 24 goals in four games - six per game! Understandably, nobody predicted this goal glut. Anyhow, here's the scores from Day2 and the standings as of now....
