I find that Bell Expressview is a very good service.
I think I caught a Crew game on Direct TV.

ExpressVu is the one I like the most. However, we cannot get all the channels in ExpressVu. Some of channels are transmitted via the weaker Nimiq 3 satellite. People in California, Texas, Florida, down south in general, can't get them.

I'm switching to Direct TV from Dish Saturday, only for Setanta Pub Channel. I have nothing against Dish, great customer service, but now I can get Fox Soccer, Gol TV, and the great Setanta.

The best satellite is the Lockheed Martin A2100.
For one thing, Lockheed Martin's A2100 satellite series recently received a Frost & Sullivan industry award for reliability for the second consecutive year.
However at a price of USD$120,000,000 (without engine), I'm unlikely to be able to afford one during my lifetime. :(

That means they offered unlimited channels from all over the world or how does it work?
Just something to know.

FSC is channel 613
Gol TV is channel 614
Setanta ($11.99 seperate fee) is channel 615
That's not a bad setup. Not bad at all.
And I think there's another channel of Gol TV somewhere. I don't know if it's a simulcast or one is in English and another in Spanish, but I recently was flipping through DirecTV's guide, and I thought I saw Gol TV listed twice.

Yeah, it's GolTV in Spanish. I just got DirecTV, and I love it.

Here is some information you should think about. First the best provider changes every year. Most leagues are on a yearly contract with the networks. Next years World Cup will be in HD. Make sure your provider has HD programming. ABC, ESPN HD and ESPN 2 HD will broadcast the World Cup in the US. If you get a Canadian provider will you able get HD? Do you what to watch the MLS? If you do, Direct Kick is great. Go to SoccerTV.com this site will show you what games and leagues will be on the different providers. Lastly you must get a DVR (digital video recorder). Let me type this again GET A DVR! If you do not believe me ask others on this site if the DVRs are worth the extra expense.

Those are worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no need to think about getting one, because you are going to need one in order to follow all of the action that happens during the weekend.
To me, this is the best invention of the decade (and the PSP).

If I went to Montreal, could I buy myself a Canadian satellite dish and install and use it here in Connecticut? I mean, it can't be THAT illegal, and if it works and I could get away with it, I'd love to do that.

You could but you'd need a Canadian address to get the programming set up. There are companies on the web that will set you up with equipment, a fake address in canada, and automatically bill you for programming. You'll have to install the dish yourself though.

That's quite a bold statement, isn't it? I don't have a DVR. DVR is useless to me because:
- I have 5 VCR/TV pair at home to record actions, making it possible for me to watch 4 games simultaneously.
- I get some games thru' BT. DVR is irrelevant.
- To record games digitally, I use a glorified PVR, i.e. a PC with TV capture card (two, actually, both PAL and NTSC), Twinhan satellite card, DVD burner, etc.
So, do I still need a DVR to follow all the weekend actions?
Simply put, DVR is NOT up to par as compared to my PC...

For those of us who are technically inept like me a DVR is the way to go. You are making me nostalgic for the days I used a VCR. First find the start and stop time for the game. While you are at it, note what channel the game is on. Next find tape that you can record over. Set the start and stop time on the VCR. Then set the start and stop time on the tuner or put up a change the channel and die sign on the tuner. Last pray you did not make a mistake or your change the channel and die sign is disregarded. Lastly you get to watch the game with the great picture quality you got with the VCR. Were that tape? It is in this pile some were. Yeah those were the days. Today I find the game on the on screen guide the push the record button and I am done. With a two tuner DVR you can record the game and some else can watch normal TV. No more TV Nazi, You can’t watch TV while I am at work because I am taping the games! There is more than one way to skin a cat (What the origin of that saying?) A DVR is the way to go if you are technical moron or you are married to one.

I prefer Dish Network because they don't charge a $5 fee for each room you want different programming in. This is not a problem if you don't want to be able to watch something different in the office while someone else watches something different in the bedroom or living room or don't mind paying the extra fee knowing that Dish Network only makes you pay for every other room. But if I can get Setanta on DirecTV, then I might have to pay the extra $10 it would take to get different programming in the rooms I can't live without it.

P.S. What exactly is shown on Setanta anyway? I know it is mostly soccer.
