Okay ... met with two representatives last night - both a very good guys and are more than eager in assisting us!

We can pick East side or West Side - we determined that the $20 price level section was the best of all worlds (not in the corner - not the most $$$) which leaves us to decide between section 125 (East) or 103 (West)

Season Ticket Pricing for Class VI members would be:
$300 for Full Season or $16.67 per game
$150 for Half Season or $16.67 per game
$76 for 5 Game Pack

This compares with:
$324 for Full Season or $18 per game
$171 for Half Season or $19 per game
$76 for 5 Game Pack

Also, there MAY be a discount for walk up tickets if you're identified as a Class VI member - that would need to be worked out. And there WILL be single game discounts if you get in contact with sales reps BEFORE the game and identify yourself as a Class VI member.

This of course means we need to be able to have offical identification for all Class VI members - which they will help us create.

For non-Class VI members - anybody buying a Premium ($25) or VIP ($20) ticket will be allowed to join us in our section.

They discussed several other things as well:
* A designated Tailgating/Meeting are for before the game
* Assisting us with creating Shirts or something for our section if we desire.
* They offered (and I accepted) to design a bunch of logos for us.
* They've also thrown out there that we may get privileged information before anyone else.
* Having a sign in our section letting people know that it's a PG-13 section.

That's all I can think of right now - what do you all think?

Sounds great. I'm hoping this works out for the fans and the Rapids.

A big thanks to GoRapids for taking this on.

Great work.

Given the number of people who have gotten burnt out in the glorious attempt to kickstart a fan section (beyond us yahoos in 127) I must applaud your enduring efforts.

Great job Mr, uhhh, Vamos Rapidos, in sticking with it and finding a few passionate staff over at the Rapids to work with.

I might actually have to consider this as a damn good option.

Cheers,

BilFish

This issue seems to come up - so I want to just post it again:

If you are a season ticket holding Class VI member - those are your seats for the entire season. Walk-ups or visitors cannot sit in your seats. And since we'll all be getting to know each other - it will be like sitting in that little old lady's pew in church - everyone will let you know :)

I also want to add ... you don't need to buy a season ticket to be in Class VI!

I am a season ticket holder(10 years), and I sit on the west side. They are better seats than the East, since you don't get the full sun the entire game, can get pretty warm in the summer. While I don't plan on joining you, been here a long time, I would look forward to seeing a section on our side of the field. Good Luck

This season since there were no day games - sun didn't matter one bit though.

Thanks for the Luck!!! Hopefully we can get another 10 people to join us!!!!

Why not you? In the new stadium we'll be where ever we decide on ... so you'd only be sitting on the East side in 2006

That's another reason I like to sit low. We are never in the sun the entire game, in fact the sun is an issue only for a few games a year and then only for part of the 1st half.

Regardless, I'm flexible regarding sitting in the east or west. Where I'm not flexible is I want to sit closer to the field and not in the corners. For me while I would enjoy being among similar supporters, enjoying the game close to field and close to midfield is more important. Sections 103 or 125 are as far away from midfield as I want to get.

This is how I feel as well.

Dawdyga ... do you think you or anyone in your section would spend the final season in 125?

Then return to behind the bench for 2007 in the new stadium?

The situation is ... there are lots of season ticket holders in 103 and 104. This has made it difficult for the Rapids to accomodate us by giving us a nice little section. Last night I was given a glimmer of hope that 103 may still be a posibility ... but most likely we'll end up in 125.

My concern is this ... we've lost some people that will not sit on the East side. If there aren't enough people to make Class VI viable - there won't be a supporter section to move into the new stadium. At that point, it become nearly impossible because of the same situation - where could you put a section without displacing existing season ticket holders?

So we're at sort of a big moment here in the short history of Class VI. But nothing is going to be really that sorted out until the Rapids can work with the season ticket holders/renewals - and get us a section.

I know everybody wants info - and we really can't do a whole lot until we figure out where the section will be - but I guess we're going to have to hold out.

What I proposed for a section is this: The orange seats in the stadium - one half of the section towards the midfield. Last night counting - that would be 44-48 seats.

Hopefully the Rapids can figure this out for us. Help us Obi-Front Office - you're our only hope!
