I'll second the sentiments of others here. There are a ton of places in greater London you could go, and Loftus Road should be near the top of the list. I went to Loftus Road last spring for the Easter Monday match agaisnt Notts County. Even though the place was about 2/3 full (it holds around 20,000) it was a great atmosphere. After being down 0-2, rangers rallied to win 3-2, so everyone went home happy.

The stadium itself is a nice little double-deck bandbox, with all four sides the same height, which is a bit unusual. You literally are looking straight down on the pitch.

I was in the main stand, toward the goal where the away supporters were. A guy in our section was leaning over the railing and screaming at the top of his lungs at the 300 or so Notts County fans below: "Cumon, you fokking Nottinghampshire scum! I'll fight yez all! Come on, let's 'ave a go at it, you fokking coonts!" etc., etc. this went on for quite a few minutes, and none of them paid any attention to him. Finally a man in his 60s stood up and bellowed "Watch the game, you daft bastard!"

I love England!

I guess i'm just a fan of small, compact stadiums. I'd rather watch a match in a "Loftus Road" type stadium than a stadium with a running track. I think that stadiums with tracks kill the atmosphere.
