&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp And when I came home from the theater and switched on the TV, what did I see? Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home playing on UPN.

Did you like Nemesis? What did you think?

Others who have not see the movie and don't want spoilers, do not read my interpretation below.

I enjoyed it. The time-line seemed a bit strange - I guess I'm not caught up on the when's and whos. It looked like this was to be sort of like an episode in the series.

But the acting was good, adn the characters were a bit more developed and dynamic on a personal level. The clone was very very interesting, and it opens the door for a whole different direction - and opportunity for another movie regaridng the clones. On a side - the actor that played... was his named "Chau-Zan"? was terrific. Image enhancing aside, he was a good good actor. The interaction between him and Picard was terrific.

There were some holes though - which makes me think that it would be a good idea to check out the collector's edition DVD when it comes out to see whta was cut out. But otherwise, it was very entertaining. Glad they didn't really wipe out the Enterprise too. ;)

It was good because they brought back the two best aspects of the best Star Trek movie: The Wrath of Khan.

Big space fight and fave character dying.

Yeah, but they put in a way to bring him back if they want to, just like when they killed Spock.

I think it was Shinzon or Shinzan. The actor is named Tom Hardy, and he was a great heel in the movie.

I thought the movie was good, especially compared against other Star Trek movies, only half of which I've liked. Nemesis came off more as a kickass two-hour episode of NextGen instead of a ridiculously cartoonish made-for-theatres special effects orgy. They've rarely established a bad guy character this much in previous movies, and it gave more heat to the story.

There were some holes though -
Primarily to me, the friendliness of some Romulans. I kept waiting for the double-cross.

Yeah, that was sort of all-too-convenient; I suppose I can buy into the idea that the Romulans felt they'd sprung this monster on the Universe and felt a responsibility to try and keep him from destroying the Earth, but they came to that position pretty quickly, without much exposition on the subject. I suppose it's only a two hour movie. The Romulan Chick who made a pass at Shinzon at the beginning I thought was going to turn into a deliciously double-faced badguy, instead she instantly gets all chummy and corny with Picard when they're fighting Shinzon at the end.
