I finally bought a set of speakers to connect to my laptop. Definitely worth the $30 investment. I don't know why Sony can't build a decent set of speakers into their laptops, the ones on my old Compaq were great.

Yeah, my Dell ones are really good too. I will say though that the best investment ever was my surround sound system for my room. You have never truly experienced Halo until you can hear guys sneaking up behind you.

As for strip clubs, I'll take slutty over classy any day. Mons Venus rules!

Class completely sucks. I've scratched my cornea again. Last time it got so freaking infected that I looked gross. So I'm back to my glasses for now. I've taken off my glasses in class to amuse myself. Basically everything beyond the computer screen is one big blur, which is actually pretty cool. :)

i did it again today!

3000 meters, two days in a row! yesterday was just 3000 straight. today i broker it up into 200 SKIPS (swim, kick, IM, pull, swim), 20 x 50 dec 1-4 (slow to fast) with 10 seconds inbetween because the clock was broken, followed by another 200 SKIPS

Good for you, i've been slacking lately. I haven't worked out for like a week. :(

I went to the gym for the first time in a week last night and did my normal regimen. I forgot how sore the first time back is!

And talk about convenience: they just opened up a Subway literally in my gym. If you walk in the front door, the counter is just off to your right. You can smell the bread too. Talk about enticing!

i took a week off a month ago, it was great.

i was getting sick of doing the elliptical, exercise bike, or treadmill (which i can't do because my knees just fall apart) so I decided to start swimming again this week. I'm going to life tomorrow and then swim on thursday. I was lifting twice a week, but I don't really want to bulk up a lot, just lose the fat and burn some calories so I think I'm going to move to lifting once a week.

I especially liked how that particular quote came out of nowhere, apropos of nothing. Yet i think it expresses a sentiment that we've all felt in our heart of hearts.

You should be in great shape for some mountain biking in the Welsh countryside, huh.

Well Sean is training for a 24 hour mountain bike race in early October, so he will be ready....as for me I hope that playing footie 3x a week will at least have me physically prepared. I have gotten really skittish about biking since I haven't really riden more than 1-2x a year in the last 5 years! But it should be fun!
