And is it getting any traction alongside CSTV and ESPNU?

I have it (Cablevision, central New Jersey) as part of the Sports Pak (which also includes GolTV and NBATV). It's three channels, Atlantic, Central, and Pacific.
They will show some college soccer apparently.

FCS is nothing more than a branded re-mix of out-of-market regional sports networks "sports packs" available on DirecTV and DISH Network, but with the non-college stuff (poker in particular) removed and replaced with college sports events.
Satellite TV households don't have to get FCS.

It got lumped in a package with FSC, so I was sort of forced to get it... It wasn't bad when they showed the swimming championships from Montreal, but I can't see watching college football 24/7 all through the fall.

Just wait until mid August 2006 and they're showing games from October 2005.

They show WAY too many replayed mediocre college football games.

My cable system had a free preview of the three Fox College Sports channels a couple weekends ago. It seems that you could get an occasional out-of-market game that may interest you, but most of the programming seemed to be coaches' shows from all sorts of colleges. That mix didn't strike me as particularly interesting, but if you went to a Pac 10 or SEC school and now live in a different part of the country in which you can't normally see your school, then maybe it's worth it to you.

Lehigh University has signed a deal specifically with FCS to put a handful of its college soccer matches on FCS Atlantic via tape-delay.
Those telecasts were originally produced by Lehigh University for airing on local cable in Bethlehem, PA (Service Electric Cable Channel 2)
