Who is the man
Who would risk his neck for his brother man?
DJILA!
Who's the cat who won't cop out
When there's danger all about?
DJILA!
He's a complicated man
And no one understands him like gerland!
DJILA!
You say this cat mahamadou is a bad mother-
Shut your mouth!
but I'm talkin' 'bout diarra!
Then we can dig it!!!

yes we can dig it!

the djila attitude? "they gotta understand that coming to gerland is not a walk in the park!"

and does he dig it here? apparently!

"Last season, some clubs showed an interest in me, notably Inter and Arsenal, from which I accepted to listen to their arguments. It went even further with the first than with the second, but at that moment, I have also considered the fact Lyon have become one of the greatest clubs in Europe. To leave, you have to be contacted by more important clubs in the hierarchy."

Last season it says they showed an interest in him so why did this story just come out 2 days ago ??? Seems a little strange to me the timing of it. Probably just more British media BS trying to stir some s**t up. Arsenal cant meet Lyon's asking price for him anyway. They also suck too :-) Inter, cant stand them either.

Gotta love the guy for staying loyal to Lyon.

i just want to bump this thread in honor of the two matches mahamadou put in against milan. he scored our goal, and showed both kaka and gattuso just who was the boss.

GH said he wouldn't trade midfields with milan, i don't think he would with anybody; we've got 3 guys who play like 5, that's the key to our success, and for all juni's deserved headlines, it all starts with djila.

how many times have i said this or something like it: RA and PK paying 38M€ for essien when the real thing was on the pitch with him every time just shows me what donkeys they are, and how lucky we are to have JMA, BL, and...

 GODJILA!!!

the diarra not for sale thread is closed since it was getting polluted, but we can still keep an eye on the great djila... and this was in yesterday's fiver:

Meanwhile, nails-hard midfielder Mahamadou Diarra has been getting a
bit too stuck into his new job at the Bernabeu, where his
full-blooded challenges yesterday led to training ground bust-ups
with both Antonio Cassano and Raul.

well, what did they expect?? christ, anyone who ever saw an OL practice (admission is free, unlike RM's which i understand cost 10€) can tell you that a match is one thing, practice is another, but that garden parties with cucumber and watercress sandwiches are something else entirely! i'll bet this is getting up djila's nose as bad as his last fateful visit to gerland. poor djila, they'll having him modelling sarongs for GQ next...

What a surprise. Gravesen hastened his Madrid departure with a bust-up with Robinho after a hard tackle in practice as well.

Capello's mindset will not work at Real. He brought in some tough guys, but the core of the team remains sissy boys.
