well, half the teams are eliminated after the group phase, so that accounts for part of the high odds - nevertheless, i'm sure the US and mexico will never be listed with that high a number ever again

the best bet among the favorites would be holland. I would never play on England for 9. At 90 maybe.

If anyone reckons their team is going to do well this year, rather than betting, go on the futures market for world cup tickets at theticketreserve.com. I spent $50 for an England quarter final ticket, and if they make it I can get a face value sponsor ticket (88 euros). I'd much rather go and see my team in the quarters if they make it than win (or lose) some cash on betting. Has anyone else got ticket options this way?
