In the history of football, was there ever a goal scored by the goalkeeper? What I mean is cases where the keeper was at the opponents goal during a last second corner kick and actually scored too, and the like....Just curious.

In Italy I recall 3. One was by ex-Juve goalkeeper Michelangelo Rampulla who scored off of a late corner kick against Cremonese. Another was by ex-Man U keeper Massimo Taibi also on a late corner kick. I think 2 years ago Toldo got a knee on a ball off of a corner and it trickled in.

I think in the EPL I remember Peter Schmeichel scoring for Aston Villa.

A few years ago Carlise stayed in the league on the last day of the season because their on-loan keeper scored from a corner in the last minute.

I can't remember his name. Anyway it was brilliant

EDIT: His name was Jimmy Glass

Friedel.

Chilavert for Paraguay, and Rogerio Ceni, who plays for Sao Paulo, both have scored a bunch of goals.

Also in the EPL, a year or two ago Brad Friedel scored in stoppage time to equalize for Blackburn, only a couple of seconds later the opposing team scored on him and Blackburn ended up losing the game.

Peter Schmichael scored a couple in his time, the Paraguan GK, (can't spell his name) you to take the free kicks and penalties for his country.

I remember Schmichael scoring a goal from open play once in the UEFA cup for MU. I think it was against Volgograd.

Jose Luis Chilavert is the Paraguayan keeper who would take free kicks and PKs and score from them. René Higuita is the Colombian keeper. I don't recall if he ever scored, though.

I remember Taibi's goal. I can't remember exactly when it was but I believe it was during the 2000-2001 season. His team (Reggina?) was down 1-0 and in the last seconds of the game there was one of those corner kicks and he desperately ran to the rival's area to try to score (you just don't think there is a chance he will even touch the ball). Precisely, quick ball to the near post, he takes a short run and he heads it in for the final 1-1. It was truly spectacular.

I found this same video on a different site and posted about it on BS a couple months ago asking who the teams were. A couple guys in that thread figured it out: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=222899

The goalkeeper who scored is Andy Paterson, from Glentoran of the Northern Irish League. The opponent is Linfield. The game took place during the 1989 Northern Irish League season.

Jens Lehmann scored a last minute equalizer for Schalke against Dortmund in 1997.

If you search the FSU boards, there was a video posted of a keeper scoring for BATE Borisov in Belarus last season from a goal kick.

Chilavert obviously scores.

Hans-Jorg Butt used to take Leverkusen's penalties, as does Rogerio Ceni of Sao Paulo.

Also, Andy Lonergan scored directly from his goal-kick for Preston against Leicester City last season. Crazy stuff...

Friedal did it last year right? He has allready gone forward in a last minute attempt this year!
