Well, 26 is about done and HT is all about looking to the future and I've done just that.
Situation:
Having promoted into a difficult but not impossible DV series my goal for this season was to stay up. I achieved that and more, I won 4th place.
Goals:
I hope to continue on where I left off and perhaps snatch a podium place this season, but it will be no cakewalk. I'm at the stage in my training where I'll be slightly weaker now than last season but by midseason I should have a top 3 midfield.
Analysis:
I managed to purchase an outstanding scorer to lead my frontline along w/ an excellent that I've got. I'm pursuing a goalkeeper and planning on converting a player into a coach by midseason. My defence will be bolstered by the keeper and my frontline will be better off w/ the addition of the striker and I'm hoping my midfield will recover quickly from the loss of the best player in the team's history.
More Hopes:
I hope I'll have enough money to make my player into a player/coach and that once that happens I will be able to position my self financially to purchase an uber defender and upgrage my stadium for the following season when I plan to make a push for promotion.
Pitfalls:
I'm hoping that with addition of the keeper and the forward I win more games this season because if I don't I don't think I'll have enough cash reserves to make my top defender a player/coach and I'm going to need full benefit from PICing later on in the season if I'm going to have a shot at a podium placing (which for scheduling purposes is essential for me to promote the following season).
I've got no depth in defence. Only 2 players who could stand in and do a reasonable job and I will be without my 26yo defender probably for the first 2 matches of the season... if my future coach gets injured at 31 I will loose several games due to a weak defence and I won't have money to buy replacements or make him into a coach.
GoodNews:
I'm expected no less than 4 pops in the first 4 weeks of the season, maybe 5 weeks.

Season 27 is my Third season in Hattrick
25: 5th place finish
26: 4th place finish
27: hoping for 2nd
It will be between myself and the 2nd and 3rd palce teams. Our demotee is a new team and the bottom four teams all quit. I will PIC my cup game in hopes of stealing my first match against number 3. He is a defense trainer and we both pull 130's in HS. My midfield will destroy his but he pulls excellents in defense.
I will not be able to beat the number 2 most likely because he is also a MF trainer and pulls weak highs in the MF compared to my poor highs.
I hope to go the entire season without selling any pl;ayers, but I doubt it.
If all goes well I will have enough money to buy a formid wing and formid defender. I will win enough games that supporters and sponsors will stay very high. Should be a good season.

Situation:
I played my first hattrick season and went perfect (42 points) out of VI.200. I have now promoted into a very difficult V.52. My teams hatstats #'s are a good 40pts lower than the #6 team. Since my side is only 1 season old my training and player levels are not up to D5 levels.
Goals:
My goal is to finish 6th in V.52 and give my self a chance to stay up however it is a lofty goal. Since my side is considerably weaker over all then my opponents I am going to have to do some tactical things to eek out points.
Analysis:
I entered phase II of my training progeam by purchasing 2 new trainiees with passable PM and Solid passing. My current program has 3 trainiees from last season still training PM, they all should be excellent stamina, formidable PM with other varring secondaries by the end of season 27.
I bolsterd my strike corp by signing a veteran solid scorer to compliment by excellent head specialist striker.
I added depth to my defensive backline by signing a powerfull centerback.
I expanded my stadium to 18K in anticipation of being relegated to have better attendance $$ to cover my large wage bill next season (28).
Prediction:
I predict a 7th place finish and a third round cup run. I think by the end of the season my midfield will be one of the better midfields in the division and i will at least gain some respectability. 2-2-10 8 points

Situation:
V.251 for my 9th season. Got first place for the first time this past season. Late season, I was pulling around 170 with a normal, and 191 for a high with a MOTS. No major changes to the team, do have a new coach this season though, so I will benifit more from PIC's.
Goals:
Win my series, autopromote to IV. Break 200 hatstats.
Analysis:
My series stays the same very competitive, there are numerous good teams. Myself, Romulus, garfield, Rafters, and Lakers could all challenge for the title this season. In reality it will likely come down to myself, Romulus, and Rafters, as garfield seems contain to hang back another season and do a cup run this time. Lakers, while good, I have yet to figure out what he trains.
The other three teams will finish 6-8. Lakewood will take 6th, their defense is strong and they are getting better, but they are not strong enough to crack the top 5 I think. The two new teams are heading right back down. Trouble Makers average about 120 hatstats, and that's not enough to challenge for the title, they pull decent D ratings, but their midfield is well behind the rest of the series. Athletico, the other new team, pulls under 100 hatstats and can't really tell what he's doing, because he keeps daytrading players that are not good at all. They are both heading back to VI this season.
Prediction:
I hope to finish first this season, more likely, I'll finish 2nd or 3rd, and Romulus will win the title and finally leave the series. I still have a good shot at the title if I get some luck, as if I sell a PM I'll have about 3-4 million to spend on likely a defender to help the D ratings. Either way, I predict a tough season, and a likely 3rd round exit from the cup again.

History:
Season 23 : 5th in V.256 (partial season) Avg HS - 78
Season 24: 2nd in VI.79 Avg HS - 92
Season 25: 1st in VI.79 Avg HS - 115
Season 26: 3rd in V.153 Avh HS - 147
Situation:
This will be my fourth full season in Hattrick, and I currently reside in V.153. On the last gameday of Season 26, I found myself within striking distance of 1st place - but the other results didn't pan out and I finished 3rd. Reached a high of 178 Hatstats during the season.
Goals:
My goals are to win the division this season, and obtain an excellent midfield rating before the season is over. My midfield should be DIV ready by then, and maybe my team will be too. I would like to reach the 4th round of the Cup, after reaching the 3rd round two seasons in a row.
Analysis:
My series has gotten a little easier this year, but it's quite even and crowded at the top. I could realistically finish 3rd again this season, but 1st place is definately possible. It is important for me to better balance my cup lineups with my league lineups, so I don't give away any points at the beginning of the season.
Prediction:
My first DV title.

Good thread, nice to get a better of idea of some other BS hattrick players situations.
Situation:
After a turbulent start to season 26, including overhauling training for PM, things picked up and I ended up sneaking into DV autopromotion the last week of the season. Probably couldn’t have worked out better as V.146 is pretty weak. I’ve little to no chance of being demoted and no plans for promotion to DIV so I’ll focus on the cup at first and focus winning the division in season 28.
Goals:
Get to at least the 3rd round of the cup, hopefully 4th round for the money and getting young trainees some needed experience. Finish at least top 2 in the division and take home the IGN Cup! :)
Analysis:
Team is pretty much set, might need to add an excellent defender for the weak side of my defense. Injuries might force me to pick up a backup solid striker or defender. There’s only one other team in the division that has a good training program and in the long run will be a challenge. My defense needs to be upgraded at some point but for now, solid defenders and an excellent keeper should do the job when I’ll be holding the midfield in almost every game, along with having one of the top attacks.
Icing on the Cake for Season 26:
One or two strong YP’s to provide the money to buy 1 or 2 reserve IM trainee’s before the offseason (for passing training), they will take the place of two that will be sold early in season 28.
Prediction:
After making a nice run in the Open Cup and challenging for the IGN Cup, the midweek focus will allow team Waterton to take 1st in the division (setting up some revenge motivation for season 28).

USA V.188
Situation:
Finished second (again) in V.188. I had my best ever cup showing but playing my starters in cup matches cost me some league points. I figured the #1 demoted from IV would run away with the series. He did, but I could have challenged him for 1st had I focused on the series instead. As it was, I once again secured second place in V.188.
Goals:
1 home cup match - last season, that was the fourth round
win V.188 title
Analysis:
Currently, with 3 Magnificent IM's, I've got the best midfield in the series. My defense is among the best despite playing numerous backups in cup 'season'. My keeper is great and my attack is as potent as any in my series.
I intend to sell my 3 starting IMs early this season and drastically improve my defense as well as other positions. That'll make my midfield weaker in the 2nd half of the season, but it will constantly improve.
Already upgraded attack with a brilliant scorer since my current #2 fwd is injured and out for the first week of season play. Could use a nice wing too.
Icing on the Cake for Season 26:
Had two strong YP’s that I'm keeping for sale later.
Prediction:
The div IV demotee appears weaker than what we've had. If I focus on series games, I can finally win the series and promote outta here.

Goals:
Finish top-3.
Average at least 175 hatstats.
Break 200 hatstats in my best match.
Avoid being a wussy in all matches and try to pull stud matches in more than half of my opportunities.
Plans:
Continue to train defenders while deciding when I'll want to switch training regimens. Hopefully by the end of the season my defenders will be just as good as any in my very tough series. My midfield used to be more of a strong point, but now it's slipping compared to the other teams.
Consider buying a new forward and looking at 4-4-2 in some matches. Sure it'll reduce the effectiveness of my training regimen, but it could very well be worth it if I've got two very strong forwards up top. And if I buy a forward I can switch back to midfield training rather then spend time training forwards.
Consider buying a winger, for much of the same reasons as I'd buy a forward.

USA V.52
Situation: Born in my division in season 20, still there eight seasons later. The d4 demotee is tough, but appears to be restructuring around PM training. We have a GK trainer and a D trainer, each have been to D4 but arent the best week-to-week managers. Two other scoring trainers, the top 6 clubs are fairly even. I just added a WC IM late last season, should be able to pull inad midfields this yr along with passable defense and solid attack ratings.
Goals: The hope last yr was to get out of d5, but I had a miserable time with form and injuries. I had improved my HS average 20 pts each season but in my train wreck of last season just went up 3 pts. Its promotion or bust this time. I've never been past the Cup 3rd round, losing a couple times in OT so I'd like the 4th round this time. Also to have Qamle make me a nicer logo. ;)
Analysis: I should have the best midfield this season in v.52 and I've learned who is good at the PIC/MOTS game and who isnt. My reserve crop of forwards were too young last yr to matter, but this yr they are Ex+ scoring and solid+ passing to start. The crucial matches are early, where I've struggled the last few seasons before mauling people down the stretch.
Prediction: Season 27 is it, finally a division title.

V.28... the top is good the middle is weak and the bottom is piss poor.
I plan to smack that ass all season long, train to strikers two world class...
make a bunch of money and upgrade my squad for my second foray into D4.

VI.8
started in week 10 and finished 6th. got a passable/poor coach and a group of scoring trainees. in the offseason sold off a 19 y/o solid defender and used the cash to improve the midfield and bought a couple defenders and a set piece taker...
no one else in my series seems to have a proper training program - they all have crap coaches even though most have been playing for several seasons. aiming for a midtable finish. hope to sell one formidable forward to upgrade to a solid/poor coach late in the season and if i have the money left over expand the stadium for the season after when i will hopefully be aiming for promotion.

Situation: Still in DVI; took second in the series last year.
Goals: Take the series and autopromote, sweep the season series from FC Austin.
Analysis: I have a decent defense and midfield with a good offense. Good enough for this series, anyway. My coach is already slipping.
Prediction: 13-1. I'm giving FC Tucson the win at his place and nothing more. If I maintain my TS well I should hang with Austin and Tucson and run absolutely roughshod over everyone else.

Henderson United

USA V.129
Situation:
Back in DV for the 3rd time. V.129 looks to be a bloodbath, with the DIV demotee pulling 40-42 stars a match. 68% of the team will be 25 years old or older. Warchest funds under $1m USD for first time since end of Season 25.
Goals:
Continue regular training of GK's Miguel Choate and U-20 Edgar Jones. Keep fingers crossed that Edgar will be tapped for the national team. Aim for a solid midtable finish. Due to rough league play, expectations for the US Open Cup have been lowered. Making it past the 2nd round will be considered the goal. As for the BSC, this season Henderson United has made it known they will be competing in the March Madness knockout cup. Again the goal is to make it past the 2nd round.
Analysis:
Much like V.113, other opponents are greatly stronger than Henderson United, proper scouting and formation setups will be key to exploit weaknesses and winning. Three fairly strong new players will be comprising the core of HenU's midfield and defense, but three players will be nothing more than a bandage. The team will need a major midfield & forward overhaul, and this may not occur until next season.
Lack of avalible funds to purchase stronger new players to replace the old guard may cause problems, and the old guard may be replaced with younger players of same skill level due to cost.
Prediction:
US Open Cup: 3rd Round loss.
BSC - MM: 4th round loss.
League: Most likely Henderson United will finish the season in 6th place and have to play a qualifying match to avoid relegation.

You realize unless we get a big influx of teams in the MM, that'd be the finals, and you are not gonna make the finals. That's reserved for us old foggies. :D

VI.54
Situation: In my first full season finished 5th (T-4 Actually, but lost out on GD) in the 19th toughest D.VI series. In the middle of full-fledged PM training. About $100k in the warchest. Hatstats avg in the low 100s
Goals: To finish 3rd in my tough series (There's a strong scoring trainer and a PM trainer well ahead of me in training). To advance out of group play in the IGN tourney. Keep training PM, hopefully a few guys will reach Outstanding+. Avg 120 hatstats. To get my finger off the trigger and stop buying guys I really don't need just because I'm bored.
Analysis: I feel like I'm one season away from being able to fill up the coffers and really make a run. I desperately need to upgrade my D and forwards, but want to wait until I can sell about 5 IMs for close to a million each. I'm paying a bit of a price by buying some trainees that were a little too low.
My series is tough, there's a lot of parity. Just about everybody averages 120 hatstats. So much so that I doubt anybody will autopromote. I got trounced both times by the top two teams, but they don't look like they're going anywhere either. It may be a while before there's any movement at the top of the series.

Try to put up a fight against auto-relegation in my V series. It's tough starting with a brand-new team in V.

In a tough VI.75, our goals are:
Attainable:
- Get our first ever point in anything, including a friendly.
- Not lose any matches by more than 6 goals
- Get a win
- Qualify for the Cup, unlike this year
- Not go bankrupt
Unattainable:
- Promote (of course)
I expect that with some work, we can finish midtable.

AS Alcohol V.20
Situation: This will be my third full season of HT and my first in DV. V.20 was ranked 125 in average hatstats with an average of 134. The D.IV demotee has just become a new team but the 3 teams that promoted are better than the ones we replaced.
Goals: 3rd round of cup, win the IGN cup, top 4 finish in V.20.
Analysis: Going into the season, my midfield is the second strongest and (incredibly) I'm the only PM trainer in the series. There are several defense trainers so I might have some trouble scoring but my posession and their low attack ratings should prevent me from giving up too many goals. My schedule is a good one as well, I'll be able to PIC when I need it (including weeks 7 and 8 against the new team) and I should be able to pull a surprise or two with MOTS.
Plan: I probably won't be making any more major purchases this season but I'm going to go for the win in 13 of my 14 games and try to finish 2nd. I'll then sell a couple trainees at the end of the season and make some major upgrades to try to win the series in season 28.
Predictions: 3rd round elimination in USOC, play in the IGN final, 3rd place in V.20.

V.112
History:
Season 24 #6 VI.230 Received team right before Rd. 14
Season 25 #1 VI.230 Promoted via Qualifier
Season 26 #6 V.112 Won Qualifier to stay up.
Situation:
Entering my 3rd full season on HT, I am still not as stable financially as I would like, but that will change this season as my training program really hits full stride with the last of my first batch of trainees hitting the point that I want to sell them. I overspent in my first 2 seasons on arena expansions due to the hand I was dealt when I received my team. I sold a couple of my first batch of trainees too early due to this, but have held on to a couple nice ones that should be million dollar babies when sold.
Goals:
Series goals are to survive and stay up as they were last season (see analysis). Cup goal is to make the 3rd round again after my same run in my maiden voyage last season. BSC goals are not to be embarrassed in the MM. Also, I believe a challenge with PB United is still in the planning stages for the last 2 IGN Cup winners.
Analysis:
V.112 is a PM heavy series. The series level rank at the end of Season 25 was in the 180’s range. The series level rank at the end of Season 26 was 134 and is only going higher. 3 of the top 4 teams this past season train PM and the 4th trains Forwards. The forward trainer is pulling formidable central attack ratings and has just purchased an E-T and WC IM to boost his MF. I have seriously considered auto-demotion and promotion to get out of this series due to the PM heavy top half, but that goes totally against my mentality. I am upgrading my MF step by step along with training up mid-level PM Wing trainees for their resale value and help to my MF. Patience is the key to HT and I will need tons of it while looking at a long future in V.112.
Predictions:
After another season of TS mgmt with a Poor/Wretched coach, I hope to end up #5 and win my qualifier to stay up.
